The elite is going to be 500 dollars selling a PS2 or Xbox360 wont give you enough money. No one is going to buy the elite. Many reasons will contribute to the low sales of the elite. Like the fact that people are done with buying xbox360 and wont wont to buy the elite, second the price is more then a regular xbox360
The PS3 is $600 and it sells even though there are only two really good PS3 exclusives out right now. Saying that the 360 isn’t going to sell because of price is very hypocritical of a PS3 fan.

The entire reason that the console is expensive in the first place is because of the Blue Ray player, the HD has little to nothing to do with it. Sony’s going to cut production cost down by at least $100 before they do this, and when they do the new PS3 with probably be the same price as the 60 gig, or maybe just a little bit more expensive.

Yeah Cid, the thing you said about people trading in their big PS2’s for the Slimline is true. I hardly know anyone that owns the system with the original. That definitely helped sales, when it was released they jumped up enormously. I will get the Elite anyways because I don’t have a 360 yet, but I sure as hell would trade the Pro system in for one. HDMI (easy 1080p), 100 more gigs of storage, new chip design (I think, maybe not) is definitely worth it.

The 360 Elite is well worth it, maybe more so then the PS3. If Sony does add the larger Hard Drive and lower the price like anticipated then it’ll be well worth the spent cash. Until then though, $600 for a console with 60 gigs and a pretty crappy game selection isn’t worth the cash.

Its not anticipated people will get mad if that happens. And if your saying games like Resistance and Motorstorm and the upcoming Lair are crappy then your a dumb fuck since theres more fun games for the PS3 then the Wii. Lair isn’t even out yet, so it doesn’t count. The only good games out right now on the PS3 is Resistance, Motorstorm, and Oblivion. So don’t turn this into a Wii game selection vs PS3 game selection because everybody knows that right now the Wii’s game selection is better.
And, all the 360 users download those HD movies and shit from the X-Live shop thing, and those take up space. They’ll use the 120 gigs.
