Heh...I had to get a whole new motherboard when I got my graphics card a DC processor...bought a case along with it...now I’m upgrading again...only RAM and GPU...my CPU is fine...gawd I want Crysis...hope it doesn’t end up being no more than a pretty face...

Yeah my MoBo is an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe nForce4 Motherboard. It support socket 939. I need to research and see what my CPU upgrade options are for Socket 939. I hope I can go with the FX 62 Dual-Core. I have plenty of Ram (2 gigs Corsair) and a 700 Watt power supply with SLI capabilities. Hmm Now I’m all interested to upgrade. lol

Nope, it looks like I can’t upgrade to FX 62 Dual-Core because it uses socket AM2.

It appears my best options are:

Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (socket 939, 2.4 GHz, 512 KB L2 memory cache)

and

Athlon FX-60 (socket 939, 2.6 GHz, 1 MB L2 memory cache)

Hmm, now to see the bench tests...

Yeah the FX 60 (single core) blows the Dual Core X2 4600+ away.
