True that. It’s the same with Nu-Metal, otherwise known as pop-metal.

I’m sorry, Linkin Park? One of the most commercially successful bands of our time?

Yup, Nu-Metal.

Nu-Metal was obscenely popular, and very definately mainstream. Fine, it’s less mainstream than some pop bands, but it’s still mainstream.

That said, most Nu-Metal bands are less popular these days; Nu-Metal isn’t the 'in' thing anymore; pop-punk, indie and pop-emo is.

I thaught Linkin Park was classified as Alternative Rock? Ehh my bad. Yeah I absolutely hate indie and that pop-emo punk bullshit... I cant stand it.

I strongly disagree with mainstream ideas and philosphies... and I strongly hate the media. They seem to confrom everything that goes on no matter if its good or bad. I want to be an individual that stands out of the mainstream and the media...

President Bush is a fucking cunt and he needs to die. If someone blew his ass away right now I wouldnt feel bad at all... might as well get a new president a couple of months early.

Haha im finished with my rant now...

they may be mainstream but they hate mainstream ideas... they hate the idea of conforming to popular ideas. its not like they try to be mainstream, they just have fun and raise the roof’s of the concert halls they attend.

if you read about Corey Taylor, the lead singer, he hates the media. they dont have a video on MTV and they dont have any commercials and shit. they are just out there to have fun.

Yeah I got the the album two days after it came out in the US.

Great album, if you’re a Linkin Park fan you should definately pick up a copy at your local record store... there are a few really good songs and the rest are more mellow and they focus more on the lyrics. Well this whole album focuses more on the lyrics.

Yah I enjoy it. The songs that D.V.D.A. mentioned are really good!

Leave Out All The Rest, Bleed it Out, and Hands Held High are my favorites.
