Actually u can unlock toad in ssbm. If you don’t belive me look at page 19 in your user manual. When u unlock toad he will no longer be in the mushroom kingdom background. Look at those two bottom pics. toad is not there. (its the pics with bowser fighting the yoshis. Toad usually runs back and forth. But he is not there. NOW THERE IS PROOF FOR YA!!!!!!

toad is almost impossible to unlock but you can unlock toad if you shoot all the creadits at the end of adventure mode and then do it again and you should unlock toad
