Ive watched a game of american football on Tv once, and honestly it was just a bunch of people running around pushing, shoving and tackling each other. The ball itself is hardly even used! wut are the rules?
They have to get past the goal line with the ball while the other team is trying to stop them. And they get four tries to do it before the other team gets the ball. And if they pass a certain point, the count gets reset and they have four tries again.
there r to many rules for me to tell you right now but the basic goal is either to pass the ball to another player or hand it off and run with the ball to score a touchdown

American Football is basically a big game of hot potato, there are certain people on your team called the “potato holders” and the “potato passers” and last but not least the “potato stealers”
the holders try to hold the ball and take it to their goal point (the ball is actually very hot)
the potato passers take the ball and pass it too a potato holder
the potato stealers try to tackle the opposite team potato holders, or intercept a pass by the potato passer
