I’ve noticed a real drop in members. Alot of people are leaving, and we’re being left with nobody but new people, annoying people, and LDG (who isn’t exactly making things any better)

I really don’t want Moviecodec to die, I’ve met to many cool people on here. So, does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how we can save Moviecodec?

As of now, the most reasonable suggestion we have is this:

The creation of another member class below moderator, but still with some mod powers. Sub-moderators. These sub-mods would be the more level headed and reasonable members and would help regulate the smaller issues on the forum.

Current suggestions for sub-mods (made by Cid):

Bebee chronic
PS3KICKS
Kev360
Maggot

To expand some on this I’ve edited Maggot’s post. Hopefully he won’t mind. I also removed some of the names on the list due to inactivity or request to not be on it.

The above list is just a few suggestions by myself, if you disagree with any of them please feel free to discuss it. Also if you have more suggestions then tell us!

Now as for abilities these Sub Moderators will have, they are as followed.

Although that was more humorous, I know what you mean.
The best to do is try and get the people who left back here and get everyone leveled out. Most of us have no real resources to do that, so that’s why I put what I did before.
(That’s pretty much my only idea actually. )

Not exactly an opinion. I’ve never in all my life seen prayer actually work, there is no proof it works. What we need to do is take action instead of rely on false hope. Send out people to advertise.

First of all, I HAVE seen prayer work. And it scared me shitless. I’m not saying that’s “scientific proof”, but it was a reaaaallly slim coincidence.

Second, this isn’t a religious argument, damn it. Don’t turn it in to one. You believe what you want, I believe what I want, and neither of us shove it in everyone’s faces. Try to be mature and agree to disagree, ok?

Thirdly, I’m afraid trying to bring new members will just contribute to the problem of these inexperienced posters that intentionally or unintentionally make spam posts, spam topics, etc. I just want MvC stable.

Stability is essential to get new people here, so first thing we should try and do is help out LDG (Solutions/compromises to her problems perhaps), and the people she has effected (getting the people who left back, all the people effected by her to just help them out somehow, like ignoring her if necessary)

Yeah, bringing back the old members should be step 1 I think. We need examples for these newbies to follow, not just let them wreak havoc.
