a battle as old as time it self and weapons chaos emeralds etc. are allowed your choice people (and also in my opinion the sonic characters would win)

Fireballs-Ooooo Scary. Ya know Eggman uses fire a lot, and Blaze is the master of fire. Fireballs will not cut it.

You really can’t go by the ring thing. Sonic survived getting pounded by machine gun fire from hundreds of robots at the same time. A few fireballs aren’t going to hurt him that badly, not that they’ll hit anyways. If you really do wanna go by rings, Sonic is temporarily invulnerable after loosing his rings and can pick them right back up. Sonic and his allies have a few power-ups of their own, even aside from the Chaos Emeralds. Gems, shields, special devices and so on.

When Sonic was shot up by hundreds of robots, I believe I saw that cut scene, and Sonic was downed fast by them, I believe the only reason why he was able to get back up was because of the Chaos emeralds he had. Also, I don’t think the scene is part of the main story, so I’m not sure you can count that.
A Sonic being invinvible after he takes damage is a game mechanic, so you don’t eaily get killed.
I think I will start of by saying Mario, Bowser, and Peach can Warp reality. The people they are facing should be able to as well, or else they opponents will most likely lose.

I’m not really sure if Sonic had a Chaos Emerald or not when he was hit by the explosion, but I don’t think just holding the CE protects Sonic, he needs to be using it’s power for that to happen.
He’ll need the Chaos Emeralds or World Rings to warp reality.
