I think some of these mario characters were just thrown in just to let the Sonic characters have an opponent. How about changing a few. Waluigi was a horriblke choice to be honest, and I don’t know who Shroom Princess is.

The Chaos Emeralds have only manipulated time and dimension thus far in the story. Though judging from all the statement made about the CE, I don’t see why not. I guess you could count the all Special Zones as separate dimensions created by the Chaos Emeralds, but they have yet to be shown outside of the gameplay. The World Rings on the other hand could create new dimensions. And I still believe the Seven World Rings to be weaker than the Chaos Emeralds.
The Arabian Nights is a separate World(though its more like another universe) but it is inside a book.

He did get hit by the guns, but I’m sure if he didn’t have the CE with him, he would have been shot down. The CE must have reived him, or possibly shielded him somehow, or some other thing I can’t think of.

Actually that trailer I just posted was the first look into the 360/PS3 game. I think it was shown before last years E3 even.
I think they changed it though, I’ve never seen that cut scene, in the game he only turned into super sonic at the end, yeah that was the game in early development it changed a lot though (thats what the people are saying about it)
