Cloud’s time materia can force sonic to stop completely until Cloud attacks him, which determining how easily it is to chop flesh in half, will signal games end right there.
Sonic can use Chaos Control to control time and space(Yes that’s what Shadow said Chaos Control does.) and then hit a few homing attacks, or charge up a Light Speed Attack and that’s game over. Hell if were allowing the World Rings or all the Chaos Emeralds, Cloud’s problems will become far worse than super speed, the Red Gem, or Chaos Control.

You’re right he would be able to kill Sonic and his little blue head. What if Sonic’s little head is Gold though?
Also can Cloud just automatically revive himself without any setbacks or side effects? If so then the only real way to defeat him is imprison him or erase him entirely out of existence.

He can revive himself completely up to 5 times in a row (or more if he has multiple Final Attack matiera) without ANY side effects, his health is fully restored along with any status effects.
Super Sonic is suppose to be invincible though. Wether or not stopping Sonic’s thought would stop the trait is still unbeknown to me or anyone else other than the Sonic Team as of now.

No he isnt! If Tails turned Super along wit Sonic then all cloud has to do is push him into a unescapable hole with spikes on the ground then tails will lose rings and eventually kill Sonic

3. The CE are stated to have been controlled by thought, as Tails said before the fight with Perfect Chaos. The question is whether Sonic uses those thought to transform and then has it’s power from there or the power is maintained by constant thought. I would tend to think that Sonic only needs to use the CE to transform since Chaos, Shadow, Silver, Black Doom, Tails, and Knuckles have used the Emeralds power without always having to be holding on to the Emeralds. Whether it’s the constant thought that maintains the use of a super form or the super form is simply activated by thoughts is still the question.

That doesn’t matter either, the dispel materia can get rid of positive status' which, in Final Fantasy 8, can get rid of invincibility. (don’t know about 7 because Invincibility only exists through Aeris' final limit break, which I’ve never tried to dispel)

That would really defeat the purpose of Invincibility.
If this is Sonic Normal then Cloud should be able to fight him with haste and other Materia but what if Sonic steals it of him like Yuffie douse in 7??? that would be funny Sonic with Materia.
