The World Rings and Chaos Emeralds have tons of power. The way I see it though is that each World Ring has a specific function or control over the reality of the Arabian Night Stories. The Chaos Emeralds do not have a specific power though, the user’s powers are amplified with each Emerald to the point of omnipotence. A lot of it depends on the user thoughts and feelings though. Which is probably why a greedy person such as Eggman can only have a limited use of the Emeralds. He is using his own selfish motives which can only control the negative energy within the Emeralds.

that might happen too. The Sol and Chaos Emeralds were having that kind of effect on the universe in Sonic Rush, so it is a plausible theory.

Seriously though, what I said would be the most plausible outcome.

If neither item is able to negate the other then the only way to deal with it without undermining the power of one of the two would be to get rid of them both. What better way then a clash of energies so great that the universe wouldn’t be able to handle it?

The emeralds can only be nullified by the Master Emeralds. Nothing keeping them from being popped out of existance.

well the chaos emeralds don’t have the power to make things go out o existence....then again you could just wish for the master emerald and solve everything easy like that

I have problems when people say things like this. The Chaos emeralds can only be nullified by one thing in the Sonic Universe If something with much greater power form another universe were to face it, it could possibly beat it. Such as the Infinity Gauntlet with all the gems.

Thing is the CE should be equal with the IG. I mean they both have unlimited power that can only be nullified by one thing. The Master Emerald for the Chaos Emeralds and the Living Tribunal fo the Infinity Gems.

I’m not sure the CE have the power of Soul and Mind over the IG. The CE have have time and space, and possibly power, but I’m not sure if It has the same limits as the IG.

The emreld have unlimeted power..thats means it has the MAX power then anything in the universe and the master emreld control it

Popele used the emrelds power to become gods...be immortal..then people started having wars over the power..enermy accross universes started to fight for the power...then a race that are now wiped out made a emreld called THE MASTER EMRELD to keep control over the other emrelds...

Thats the story of the emrelds so the emrelds have the powers of the gods and they also made gods...and if thats not enought think of the powerd version of the emrelds that make sonic into a god-like form called hyper sonic that controls time and space

The star rod grants wishes, so if Eggman gets the emeralds, then Bowser gets the star rod. So he could just wish for the master emerald, and negate out the effects of the chaos emeralds. Then, Bowser would wish for the death of Eggy.
