super saiyan 3 son goku

This was the final transformation Goku achieved in Dragon Ball Z. Goku was the only character to ever use the form without having fused with another character first. He displayed this form first during the Buu Saga against Majin Buu and admits that he achieved it while training in the afterlife. The form was the strongest transformation available in the DBZ universe but consumed large amounts of Goku’s energy, reducing his time on the Earth substantially. Again, the form augmented Goku’s Super Saiyan 2 strength, speed, durability, and ki. Goku says that in the Other World he could reach the full potential of Super Saiyan 3, but on a living body he lost energy and reverted back to his original form before he could defeat Buu. The full potential of Super Saiyan 3 is obviously very great because Vegeta noted that if he were to build his chi, or ki, he would be able to obliterate Buu. He’s power was so powerful that it’s enough to reach the Other World or Kaiohshin Kai.

Bukujutsu ( “Lighter then Air Skill” )

Many people in the Dragon Ball universe have this ability, Goku first crudely imitated this skill by forcing a Kamehameha out his feet while fighting Piccolo at the Tenkaichi Budokai. This is the ability to levitate and fly using one’s ki. Goku simply focuses his energy and pushes it out from underneath him.

Genki-Dama (Spirit Bomb)

Goku’s most powerful attack that was taught to him by Kaio Sama, the Genki Dama draws ki energy from a specified group into a giant mass. Goku has only used this attack only three times in the Manga, but more times in the anime and movies. The downside is that he is quite vulnerable during its lengthy creation time. It is suggested that he is only able to perform this technique in his regular state. When he attempted to use it against Android 13, as a Super Saiyan, he absorbed its energy instead of throwing it, though it still fueled him to victory.

Jan-Ken (Rock-Scissors-Paper)

This is Goku’s special attack in early Dragon Ball that was taught to him by Grandpa Gohan, but is soon replaced by the Kamehameha. The user shouts “Jan Ken”, then a name corresponding to the attack. “Jan Ken Gu”, equals rock and will be a strong punch. “Jan Ken Chyoki”, equals scissors and will be a poke in the eyes. “Jan Ken Pa”, equals paper and will be an open palm strike.

Kaioh-Ken (Fist of the Worlds)

The Kaioken was taught to Goku by Kaio-Sama and is one of Goku’s most famous attacks in the Dragon Ball series. The Kaioken is a sudden eruption of ki, doubling Goku’s physical abilities and strength. Through training, Goku was able to increase the multiplier that the Kaiohken had on his power. Even though this attack gives Goku a sudden explosion of energy, the effect of it is extremely dangerous. If Goku multiplies the attack too much for his body to handle, he could kill himself by vaporizing his body.

Kamehameha (Turtle Destruction Wave)

Goku’s most famous attack that was taught to him by Muten Roshi. This attack becomes the trademark technique in the series. The Kamehameha is a powerful, constant stream of energy hurled at an opponent usually through the hands. Goku learned to use this technique by mimicking Muten Roshi, who used it to put the flames out on Fry-Pan Mountain during the original Dragon Ball series but Goku’s was not as powerful as Muten Roshi’s. Goku later developed several and more powerful variations of this attack during the course of Dragon Ball. The name is derived from an ancient Hawaiian king.

Kienzan (Circle Energy Disk)

Known in the English dub as the “Destructo Disk”, this attack was originally Kuririn’s. The Kienzan is a razor sharp disk of energy that can slice through any opponent. Frieza performs an attack similar to Kuririn’s technique but it follows the target opponent

Ryu-Ken (Dragon Fist)

Ryu-Ken is the first and only technique that Goku created himself. He charges his energy into his fist and it creates a Shenlong-like dragon that he drives through the opponent he is facing. An exception to this was an Oozaru, instead of a dragon. This happened during Dragon Ball, when Goku defeated Piccolo Daimao.

Shunkan Idô (Instantaneous Movement)

An ability Goku learned on his way back to Earth from Namek on a remote planet called Yardrat. It allows him to teleport nearly anywhere instantly so long as he focuses on a specific ki signal at the desired location or can see where he wants to go. He places two fingers on his forehead to focus on a power signal.

Taiyoken (Fist of the Sun)

Also known as the “Solar Flare” in the English Dub, this technique was taught to Goku by Tenshinhan. The technique is one that uses the ki to reflect the full force of the sun at an opponent, temporarily blinding them, enabling escape.

Zanzôken (Double Shadow Fist)

Also known as the Nin-ju-Zanzôken, Double Shadow Attack or After-image technique, Goku learned this attack from watching Roshi perform it. This attack is when the user is able to move extremely fast over very short distances (usually a maximum of a few meters), leaving two rather misleading blurry after-images illusion behind.

Pre-Crisis Superman

His powers were explained as a result of two factors: the comparatively weaker gravity of Earth, and the intensity of Earth’s yellow sun. As such, Superman’s powers were negated if he entered an environment similar to that of Krypton, such as the bottle city of Kandor, or if he was exposed to the solar energy of a red sun. In Silver Age stories, the powers and limitations of Superman were instantly possessed by any Kryptonians exposed to Earth or Earth-like conditions. Individuals from the planet Daxam, such as Mon-El, possessed identical powers, but were invulnerable to Kryptonite and highly susceptible to lead poisoning.

Super Strength: Superman’s strength was increased to the point where he could move entire planets.

Flight: The character gained the power of true flight.

Super Speed: Superman’s speed increased to the point where he could travel faster than light. Several stories depict him traversing great distances through space. He could also use this power to travel through time, as shown in his boyhood visits to the 30th century as a member of the Legion of Superheroes. Superman can also swim at speeds approaching Aquaman’s speed as well as run at speeds similar to that of the Flash. In certain novels though, it is explained that the the Flashes ability to tap into the speed force allowed him to surpass Superman with ease. (Without the speed force, the Flash is marginally faster)

Invulnerability: By the 1970s, Superman was able to withstand an atomic explosion and even fly through the core of a star. He was also immune to non-kryptonian diseases and all radiation except for that of a red sun or kryptonite.
Vision: In addition to X-ray vision and heat vision, Superman was also given telescopic and microscopic vision. The character could see across interstellar distances and observe events that occurred on a microscopic and even atomic level. He could also see across the full electromagnetic spectrum, including infra-red and ultraviolet light.

Hearing: Superman could hear sound at almost any wavelength and at great distances.

Super Breath: Superman’s breath was capable of freezing objects and generating hurricane-force winds. He could also hold his breath indefinitely, allowing him to travel underwater or in space without breathing apparatus.

Mental Powers: Superman possessed genius-level intelligence and an eidetic memory. These enhanced mental capabilities were a direct result of his exposure to a yellow sun, as evidenced by the depiction of Superman’s dog, Krypto. While under a yellow sun, Krypto’s intelligence was boosted to that of a typical human. Superman also possessed the mental ability to screen out the enormous amount of information received by his enhanced senses, and to focus on a single detail, such as a particular voice or location. As well, his speed reading abilities were much like that of the Flash, He was able to absorb large amounts of information quickly, whether it entered his short term or long term memory is hazy
Super Ventriloquism: Superman could throw his voice across great distances. This power was used to confuse enemies or protect his secret identity by tricking others into believing that he (or Clark Kent) was in a different location.

Super Hypnotism: This power enabled Superman to hypnotize anyone. He could make people forget incidents or obey his commands. This power was often used to safeguard his identity.

Stamina: Superman could survive indefinitely without food, water, or rest due to the yellow suns radiation sustaining him.

Healing factor: Superman could regenerate physical damage to his body at an accelerated rate. He was able to regenerate when Wonder Woman slit his throat with her tiara in Wonder Woman #219. In the series Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Superman regenerates his body after being reduced to near a skeleton by a special nuke that was designed to blot out sun light and disrupt energy. Superman’s healing rate has been inconsistantly portrayed, however. In the first issue of the “Superman/Batman” comic, Alfred is able to remove a kryptonite bullet from Superman’s body without fear of the wound closing.(probably because the kryptonite was affecting his ability to heal)

Other Powers: Writers of Superman would occasionally experiment with new powers for the character. In general, the abilities that proved popular and useful became part of his regular repertoire, while others would be discarded after a single use. In addition to his other super senses, Superman was occasionally shown as having highly-enhanced senses of touch and smell.

.... this battle doesn’t count.

lets just think about the strongest possible thing a DBZ writer could come up with, lets say he makes goku destroy an entire galaxy. that is valid, DBZ went almost that far.

however, we’re talking pre-crisis superman here... the writers could give superman a “super anti sayian 00b3r blast” and it would be fine, cos its pre-crisis and he is cheap as hell so superman winss

Pre-Crisis is from the comics only.He moves millions of times faster than light(he once moved so fast he left creation itself and broke the time barrier as a baby),his heat vision is hotter than the core of 100 suns,he juggles planets(hell Superboy moved a whole galaxy of planets),his ice breath can cause the next ice age,and I pray he isn’t allowed to use his sword.

Superman Pre crisis is stronger than Goku SSJ 3, Goku will lose this debate, because there is no feats to back it up what Goku powers really are, I mean besides show that his energy reach another dimensions, Goku only fight with Buu, that give him a big disadvantange with the countless feats Superman have.

Superman Pre crisis do not fight like Post crisis, he depowered in red sun to fight Mohamed Ali and he lost, so there is one advantage Goku has over precrisis.

Superman loses to Goku in every incarnation. It’d be a good fight between Pre Crisis Superman and SSJ3 Goku, but Goku has more technique. Even if their strength and speed are equal (and lets say they are, cuz face it both of them are the strongest/fastest of all time) Goku knows how to fight whereas superman just slugs it out with his enemies until they fall.
