maybe theres are just giant signs saying 'wet paint' all around the edge of the universe in every language ever, all expanding equally outwards at the speed of light.
Nothingness. Theoretically there is nothing outside of the universe. It is the Zero point where all gravity cancels out due to being infinately far away from all area’s of gravity. Although if you factor in the 4th and 5th dimensions is there really an outside of the universe? Perhaps the 4th dimension is circular and when you exit one way you re-enter another way?
could be a vacuum of everything... like a vacuum of matter and energy, space and time, an absolute deadzone, or a complete abundance of everything, a bit like a 'white hole'.
