I just thought, isn’t it possible that there more than one universe?
Of course.
The human mind is a delicate thing, it often lacks the full ability to grasp such advanced concepts such as other universes as we to frequently rely on what we see to shape our ideals and comprehension of what exists and what does not.
lol i fucking hate having the cold but i have not had one for a bit
but that kinder wot i wos saying there shod be no need for the military knower days. that to me just showes how for we have to go for me not to look at us as primitive

*atchooooo* (feel my pain how can you say that?)
Anyway (i love the answers for this one, them funny ones were brilliant ).
As for the universe. Hmmmmmmmm.
OK, assuming (like many humans do, the universe has a limit, where would that limit be, and why?
If we have 'another' universe outside of ours, where would it be? we live in 'knowhere', so it above? below? to the left/right etc.?
Our universes shape indicates that it began at some time from a central point. And the flow of celestial objects (being wide at one point) indicates that an outward explosion (maybe) caused it to start.
I say that because, consider the action of two atoms starting a bang with absolutely no outside influence from gravity/weight/friction etc.
I assume the fractional offset of the two objects, over a potential 'trillions' of years of movement, would in theory, grow exponentially, eventually giving way to an oval outlay of debris. The spinning motion of our universes objects could then also be caused by the motion of the electrons on the atoms that caused the bang?
(just what i consider anyway)
If there is another (or one other) universes out there, how far away would they be? ours is pretty damned big, and since ours doesn’t appear to have colided with another yet, the other (with its spinning objects like ours) could wipe 'both' out if it crossed our path and if both are growing at the speed of light - oh crap, something gonna hit something else at some time
I dont see a reason to believe our universe is moving sideways (i know nobody said it was...), since that would cause disruption in the layout instantly (maybe). So we are most likely expanding from a very stationary central point. If there is nothing beyond our own universe, what would cause a 2nd 'beginning' in another area?
The chances of a potential 2nd random big bang, is more unlikely than Santa winning the lottery, twice
Just as a wild stab in the dark, consider this. . .
(pure hyperthetical ranting here, but just consider it)
The universe is eternal . . . it has no need to have began, its simply *does*.
For the purpose of this idea, it begins with a bang in the centre . . .(why? i dunno, i was busy at that time, so i missed it)
The ensuing explosion/reaction somehow caused the production of planets/stars etc. over trillions of years.
Where did the planets come from?
Well maybe, the universe goes thru a process of stretching out, then eventually sucking back in, to a point so small, with so much density, it can only explode outwards 'again', and in a way no human mind can really concieve. When it does explode outwards, the consumed energy and particles explode out too.
It 'could' expand for trillions of years, then suck back in again over trillions more years. It has no point, no reason, and all the time in the world to go through that process forever. Just casually sucking itself in, then exploding outwards, over and over, never to end (in our idea of an 'ending').

It’s part of survival in the end, just with politics. If we got rid of out military we would be screwed.
Would peace is a nice concept but it’ll never happen because some people aren’t that way.

Man, over the past few months I’ve been practicing meditation and getting in touch with my Chi and such, and I’ve had a life changing spiritual journey. Part of my teachings were about the universe, and I swear you become one with it once you become attuned. Words cannot explain it, well, words cannot explain much. Speaking and words are such a ineffective way of communicating.
But anyways, once I came into a deep meditative state, you are able to “feel” whats around you, and eventually to a much larger scale.

ye i know some ppl are that way but one day in a few thousand years maybe with hope it will happen, this is after all wot we as humenbeings not as civilisations are countries but humenbeings shod be striving for at the end of the day.
well i hope most wouled be striving for that and then we do after all have hope of world peace, there has to be hope if nothing else. then when avery humenbeing on the planet is getting feed and we are not going around killing and mugging ect one another then just maybe we well be able to gather the reassesses to go and explore the possibility’s of intelligent life out there

“yum yum, thank you”

Interesting phill, but imagine our universe is like a bubble floating along with billions or trillions of other bubbles/universes in an ultimately bigger space we know nothing of. If that’s the case, big bangs happen all the time.
Hypothetically consider our universe’s big bang was created from 2 other universes colliding. Now think of each universe possesses it’s own particular physics but when mixed together in a collision these two universes made the perfect stable ingredients for molecules to form thus creating our clunks of matter from the big bang.
Consider we get our physical forces from other universes. Think about gravity. Why is gravity weak in comparison to all the other forces? Now that may sound crazy but if you take an ordinary refrigerator magnet and pick up a metal pin with it, well there you go. You have the whole entire mass of the Earth pulling on that pin yet something so small as 1"x1” magnet was able to pick it up with magnetic forces. We see only the tail end of gravity with a more faint signal. However, gravity is an important building blocks of matter in our universe as it’s shaped today.
Perhaps black holes are points where our universe has stuck together with another universe like two soap bubbles connecting. Who knows? What if our universe is as small as an atom is to some other species? Hmmm. Imaginations can run wild with this one.
well... if there is nothing outside it, dosent that mean that it dosen’t have an outside? Squeek!
