That’s messed up. If his whole family was dead, they had to have been murdered. Who could have done such a thing? Way too many people dying. too many wrestlers, Sensational Sherri had just died too. Rest In Peace Benoit, you were truly a fantastic wrestler to say the very least

The death of he and his family is suspected to be a double homicide/suicide. Probably poison since there were no wounds on the bodies...

fartmasterflex. Guest | it’s so weird. i’m sad that he is dead, but I am starting to think that he wasn’t that great of a man since it seems that Chris was the one who killed his wife and kid and then killed himself. I wonder what made him snap.

EB V3 Guest | The whole situation is odd. People are thinking Benoit snapped and killed his family. There are now knife or gunshot wounds though. That narrows it down to them being strangled, or poisoned. Poisoned sounds too calculated to me though. Also I’ve heard reports that say Sensational Sherri was murdered. Could there be a connection between the deaths?
There is something major that the police haven’t found out or aren’t telling us, that much is for sure.

During a press conference Tuesday, June 26, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard confirmed that Chris Benoit had killed his wife and son. His wife was bound at the wrists and feet, while there were no signs of restraint on his son, both died of asphyxiation. It is reported that his wife died on Friday, his son died on Saturday, and Benoit killed himself later Saturday evening or early Sunday morning. Benoit’s body was found dead of asphyxiation hanging by the cord of a weight machine in his basement. It was also reported that there was a Bible by both Nancy and Daniel’s bodies.

The deaths supposedly happened over a three day period. Man strangling his wife and smoothering your 7 year old son is just wrong and inexcusable. I feel really bad for Chavo, Edge, and Dean Malenko right now. WWE has pretty much disowned Chris Benoit, they took down all his tribute stuff off the site, and you can’t buy any of his merchandise. They even apologized for the tribute show. Though at that point yesterday, no one would’ve even conceive that Chris Benoit kill himself, his wife, and his kid. Chris Benoit took so much away from the Benoits, and the other WWE wrestlers.

Perhaps there was a psychological problem that bubbled beneath the surface?
Figures always in the public view need to keep their public profile up and not show weaknesses.
Perhaps this is what allowed the situation to get so bad that he would murder his own family.
Or it could be a bout of roid rage followed by remorse which he ended by hanging himself.
who knows?
either way, its still a great tradgedy.

No, chances are it wasn’t. The medical examiners even said there was no solid reason to believe it was because of the testosterone he was taking. Don’t believe in that bullshit the media is spewing out.
