Hmmm, really there’s a lot more info needed, to know what you are doing there mate. What does it say it wants to install?
What disk are you using? do you mean your OS disk? recovery disk? Boot-up CD? Is it a known working CD? has it got scratched at all? Can your CD-ROM/DVD-ROM handle the type of disk you have (multisession etc.)?
Is the drive partitioned and formatted OK? is it a known working drive? (has it has any bumps while you fitted it?).
What error does it say has occured? if its installing an OS, how far did it get? If Windows (most likely) did it get past all blue-screen sections?
Did you remove all 'extra' hardware before installation started? Its best to not have 'other' things fitted until the OS is installed and running happily, then fit any extras.
New DVD-Drive, i put in Final Fantasy: Advent Children, comp started up normally, it detects the new drive and registers it is working fine, yes it is windows, it runs to the same OS ad my comp, everything works... i just can’t get around the small error...
