Will FFXIII ever go to 360? Probably not. Wouldn’t make sense at all really.

I know several hundred rabid fans that would buy a PS3 for a certain game. Those are the people who bought a PSP a year ago just for Crisis Core. Also, Square Enix isn’t showing much love for the Wii right now, but they are beginning to show their support to the DS with games like Final Fantasy 3, FF12 Reveant Wings, It’s a Wonderful World, Final Fantasy 4, and the rumored Final Fantasy 5, Dragon Quest, and The CC game for the DS.

On the Wii side they have Crystal Chronicles and that’s it but I’m sure we’ll see more support in the future.

Oh and the game I was talking about going to the 360 as well as the PS3 isn’t Final Fantasy XIII, it’s the long rumored and probably to be announced at E3, FF7 remake.

What do you mean by expanding outward. I don’t understand what you mean here.

Other platforms, 360/wii/handhelds.

Well sales aren’t showing these rabid fans buying into this. The only increase in sales PSP has had was due to the pricedrop. Helped it quite a bit in Europe and doing alright in America. But still can’t catch up to DS.

And for the Wii they also have Dragon Quest Swords. Releases on the 30th of this month in Japan. Has over 300,000 preorders. This is where I’ve been saying Square is going to be saying fuck were stupid. WE put out a spinoff on the Wii and it sales that much in the first week.

FF7 for 360? Unlikely. For PS3. Defo coming. When? Not for a very very long time is what I’m hearing. And I’m meaning more like 2009 timeframe.

Oh you means Square’s support. Well I agree with that. Think Cid agrees with that as well. But I think Square needs to do it wisely. Per say putting FFXIII on the 360 is probably more of a loss than a gaing. Games like that Revenant game is more suited for 360. You know a planned smaller game for both the consoles. I really think though they need to expand more to the Wii cuase they are letting other devs take over tha tmarket. The market that in the end will be hte largest. Don’t get a foothole in their now and it’ll be too later forever. At TGS 2007 Square needs to really announce some huge Wii games.

Woah now we are really thinking in the heavens haha. I’d say that at the way end of PS3’s lifecycle it might be able to come close to that. 360 I don’t see it happening and of course Wii can’t do it. And the 8th generation I really think that they’ll only be able to improve a little bit in the visual territory. We are coming to a time where power to graphical output is making a flat line. Meaning you can keep pounding in the power but it’s not going to show those same linear increases. Cause photorealism and life realism is impossible. It’s like an asymptote stopping us from getting there. But we can get infinitely close to it.

I didn’t say it was a lot now, I just said that people have bought an expensive (in comparison to competition) console for a single game. You should see Advent Children Forums, over 10,000 registered members, 2000 of which are hardcore enough to buy a PS3 just for an FF7 remake.

I still think that we’ll be seeing a lot of support for the Wii in the months to come.

Oh and, if an FF7 remake is to occur, it’s gonna be announced this year. SE said something about having an FF7 related title that has to be released this year, this year marks the 10th anniversary of FF7. So I imagine we’ll get an announcement next month or at TGS. And I’m also seeing a 360 version a possibility not to mention a DS port to go along with all the other FF ports.

Nope, they can easily cram Crysis on the 360 and ps3 if they wanted too.

True, but the work is going to take a lot of time. Most of the CryEngine2 is based to work on the new hardware features of DX10 cards. The PS3 and 360 lack most of these. So, softwaring out the ass. And considering the game essentially needs multi-core CPU’s for the physics (which are so godly), the CPU’s in the consoles are going to have a rough time. Not impossible, but I’m sure Crytek has no intention of trying at all.

Zucas, you may have missed what Square was saying.

It could be total BS,however , but apparently they find more expressive quality in the PS3. Maybe they’ve been pouring their resources into it. Its not like the system is unpopular. Get some releases out on it and it will pick up. FFXIII will only help.

Still, its not like the 360 and Wii have no support, its just Square has to devote more time to making sure FFXIII is as great as it can be, alongside its spinoffs. Its going to take more work, even for a massive company.

I know, i’m just saying they could if they wanted too. And i know it won’t be PC worthy, but it would still be almighty by console standards.

Well okay listen.. Let’s not make this an argument about which console is better. Let’s think about which console could fully be interactive with final fantasy.. I’m sure the WII would make the battle system hella fun, and WIFI might be a huge addition to Final Fantasy.. then again the xbox does have internet connection, but some people would mod Final Fantasy with XBOX which would kill the mutli-Player for the xbox.. and the ps3.. I wouldn’t know.. But in any case, the graphics would look marvelous on any of the 3 systems.

The graphics would lack on the Wii, which is why I wouldn’t want to see a “main” title exclusive to the console. I’m usually not picky about graphics, in fact I chose the Wii over the PS3 and 360 when I bought a console. But Final Fantasy is a game that since the early games, was made to look beautiful and be stunning. Square Enix is a company known for producing some of the highest quality cutscenes in gaming, and it should stay like that.

Yes, I’ve played and beaten Twilight Princess, in fact I accomplished that about a week after the game was released. The game is beautiful and is a work of art, but in no way is this;

As good as this;
