i can’t guarantee that im right but heres my verdict.
in a clothes shop for example, you often find clothes that cost way too much, in some places in the world u might find a pair of shoes that cost $1000, now do you think it really costs that much to make? no! it attracts people cus they want to look at them, then once they are in the shop your bound to get some extra sales just by pricing one pair at 1000$ even tho its probably never going to sell.
also if the clothes are too cheap then people feel theres something wrong with it so they dont buy it, people want the clothes that cost more than what they are actually worth because they feel it gives them an image thats better than everybody elses.
sony may be applying this rule to the ps3 by making you pay at the moment 600 USD, of course as u can see not many people are buying it, but those who do buy it are looked at and people think wow he has a ps3, wow hes so cool! i want one, even tho i cant afford it. it gives a person an image just because its got a high price, once sony builds its reputation as a fashion, there will be more and more people wanting it but they can’t afford it, but the extra rich buy it, so more people think if i buy it i will look rich too kinda thing, or give them an image. once this builds to a certain point sony can lower the price and then all those people can now buy it, and the ps3 still has its (im supa) reputation.
like sony said its in it for the long run and its current sales dont affect what it will be selling like in the future.
i know the media have been saying the ps3 looks ugly and the graphics arnt much better than the 360, but people look at ps3 and think wow that looks so awsome! just cos of its expensive look, and they also look at gt hd and say, damn! the ps3 has the best graphics in the world!

Actually, considering the wii costs half as much as the ps3, and the ps3 has about half as many sales (last i checked and is being rounded) the ps3 is doing hells good for the price.
And the ps3 costs so much because of everything in it.

It works perfectly on the 360, but i don’t know about the ps3 version, but here it goes.
1. Equip a non-enchanted Bow, and any amount of arrows. (besides 1 or anything above 1,000 as that freezes the 360 and possibly the ps3 as well)
2. Make sure your menu bar is on your weapons tab.
3. Draw back the bow but don’t let go of the attack button, go to your menu, unequip the arrows you are using, and it should display a message stating you cannot equip/unequip anything while your attacking. (at least on the 360 version it does, just look for something like that)
4. Head over to whatever it is you want to dupe (magical, quest, and certain other items will not work) and hit the “Drop” button, you can now let go of the “Attack” button.
5. Exit the menu, and watch the pure awesomeness. =D (unless ps3 version not work worky, or you used a non-working item)
For starters, try an apple to dupe, and maybe 50 arrows. Thats a good practice run.

Fashion attractive? Are you like a men’s clothes designer. Who talks like that. But seriously if were going by looks of the console Wii is small, slim, and sleek. Not bulky, fat and ugly like the PS3. Solves that mystery.
Is Wii saying something. Yea it’s saying a lot. It’s saying get your fat ass off the couch.

Of course not, but they did make a bif mistake, there is no real game that can hold you down and let you play for hours and hours without getting bored. IMO or course.
