Flo Mounier from Cryptopsy is one of the most insane drummers imaginable; he’s fast as hell and insanely technically gifted.
George Kollias from Nile is pretty technical, but he’s just fucking fast. He’s supposedly the only drummer in the world with feet at 270bpm single strokes (not counting WFD competitors, as they don’t make music).

Jordison fans just don’t know any better... nobody has shown them good music.
Slipknot is mainstream if you ask me... and there is so much more to offer behind the blinding wall of mainstream music.
People consumed with the mainstream just need people like me and you to show them that there is way better stuff that isn’t mainstream.
Just like that guy who came on here asking for some good metal bands. I’m glad he’s seeing more than just the mainstream Nu-Metal and Metalcore crap now that he’s met us. lol.

It’s a maturity thing more than anything I think. But yeah, most people just do as the mainstream tells them. Sadly, many people see mainstream metal as somehow making them different. It’s an unfortunate fallicy.

You wouldn’t count Ozzy and Metallica as “mainstream” though would you?
