Zelda’s music hasn’t gotten an award or anything like FF’s.
Nobuo was why the FF music was so great. After he did FF9 he quit Square and formed his own studio. He performed 1-2 songs for 10, but he hasn’t done a full FF soundtrack since FF9. As a result, the last great FF soundtrack was 9. 10, 11, and 12 were all sub-par.
True true and yet FF still has the better music, expecially as a series. I hate the music though.
Actually, I’d take Twilight Princess' music over 12’s any day. But give me FF7... specially the new Orchestrated stuff... and... *drools*
But to agree for one moment it’s funny that most reviewers took off score for TP’s sound and music when I thought the music was apsolutely amazing. Go figure on that one.

Agree? With them? No, I just know for a fact it’s better. It’s music has been the biggest thing in video games regarding music. If Zelda’s was better it would have gotten something in regards to music but it hasn’t but doesn’t even need music like FF’s anyways. I’m fine with the catchy tunes. It sort of matches Zelda with the less artistic more catchy tunes.

Zelda can get some pretty epic stuff, but it’s usually only 3-6 songs per game. Which is unlike FF where most of the music has an epic feel to it. I love the title screen music for TP, some of the best I’ve heard in a while. Wish they’d release an official soundtrack...

And yet FF7 still beats it. Ha.
As per quality FF7 loses, the songs sound good... but they’re all synthesized. FF7 was rushed and Nobou didn’t get to orchestrate but one track, which was “One Winged Angel”. That’s why they released an Orchestra soundtrack after the game’s release.
