Oh your joking haha. Wow this is really hard you don’t even know. I’ll randomly throw some out there I guess:

SSBB- 91%

Metroid Prime 3- 96%

Super mario galaxy- 95%

Halo 3- 94%

Call of duty 4- 86%

Mass effect- 93%

Medal of Honor Airborne- 80%

Lair- 75%

Warhawk- 80%

Um this is extremely difficult. But I see Prime 3 having the best chance of pulling a the highest out of this just because if the revolutionar aspects of it are perfect it will get very high ratings.

But Lair and Warhawk are hardly contenders. Same with Brawl really as well. It’s not the kinda series that gets 95 and 96 percentiles. And Call of Duty 4 and MoH: Airborne also have no chance as well.

It’s really between Galaxy, Prime 3, Halo 3, and Mass Effect. I mean games that come out later in 2008 I can think of a few that have a shot but these 4 are contenders to say the least to get somewhere at a good rating. But I defo see Prime 3 having the best shot with Galaxy and Halo 3 close behind and same with Mass Effect. Mass Effect probably has the least chance cuase it’s really hard to let out a new game and have it get that high of a rating. So few have done it.

ok, so assume i take out the games you said werent competitors, you gave the nintendo games a better rating than halo 3.........*cries*.........lol jk IMO i think Halo 3 will surpass MP3.

Well right now I’m saying the contenders are those 4 games I stated up there. The reason I put Prime 3 above Halo 3 is Corruption has a little more going for it. Meaning the controls they are revolutionary. And if those controls have perfection that game will get extremely high reviews. Kinda emulation how new the first Metroid Prime was.

The way to get super high ratings is to have something so new and so perfect that all reviewers love it. That’s why you see most games the first one always gets better ratings than the second one ala Zelda, Metroid Prime, and Halo. So from a standpoint right now Metroid Prime 3 is more redefining and revolutionary than Halo 3 thus if it succeeds it has a much better chance of getting a better rating. Halo 3 on the other hand because it takes no risks but still stays safe on the good side will get a constant rating between the first 2.

Now Mass Effect I see it getting up there cause it does look very promising but because it’s new and not a majorly hyped or at large game it won’t get too high.

Now Super Mario Galaxy really right now I’m just going off what I’ve heard. And really everyone who has talked about it saying how amazing it is comparing it to how amazingly new Super Mario 64 was.

So that’s why I chose those 4 games and that’s why I put them in those places.

I don’t however see any of htese 4 games passing up the perfection that is Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Nice summary though, but I think I get what your saying. Let me try to see if i get it “ahem”, your saying basically, galaxy, prime 3 will get better scores because it’s using a different control scheme, and Halo 3 is just the same old controller and same old run n gun.

I can understand that. A large audience likes innovation over the same thing over and over and over.............again.

No that’s not what I’m trying to say. Basically saying with more risk more reward. Also though a chance of a failure. But becuase it’s Nintendo being the developer I think those 2 will fulfill what they have going for them.

That’s my basis on putting those 2 above Halo 3 at least.

But you must understand predicting overall ratings is extremely difficult. I mean I can predict sales cuase they ahve trends but this is trying to predict not only if a game will live up to hype but tyring to predict opinions not made yet by at least 100 reviewers. It’s hard.

Metroid Prime- 96.3%
Super Mario 64- 95.7%
Halo: Combat Evolved- 95.6%
Halo 2- 94.6%
Super Smash Bros Melee- 90.0%
Super Mario Sunshine- 91.5%
Metroid Prime 2: Echoes- 92.2%
Call of Duty 2(360)- 90.0%

Those are some noteable games in the series that had 90% are over.

I didn’t think Melee scored that high, I change my Brawl one form 85% to 93%

Same with Call of Duty, from 70% to 88%

My others seem to fall fairly close to their predecessors... Halo most notably. Boy did I hit H3 on the head with 94%

Well that was only one Call of Duty game but yea 88% is probably a good prediction.

And yea Melee was rated pretty well.

As wew can see Prime has the best rating and Halo seems to be the most consistent.

And really Super Mario 64 would probably be rated higher than Prime there but it only had 20 reviews. No telling how many it could have had in this day and age. Probably could be up at 96.8% critical rating or something like that. Oh well if we added more to SM64 we’d have to add more for OoT which could put it in 98% haha.

there is something in that list I found intresting that i want to point out. Both MP and Halo’s got 90% or above. just something I found intresting.


Also, is RE4 for PS2 and gamecube basically the same thing?
