I kenw this already, but didn’t know that Brawl wasn’t going to be playable online. My guess is that-:
Metroid Primce 3 won’t be online to satisfy the single player, sicne there were two Metroid launches on the GC, there will probably be the same on the Wii, and the next Metroid title will be online...
Well Metroid has been one of the greatest if not the greatest sci fi console shooter ever. But it doesn’t have online and really the series never was meant to have online. Unlike most other sci fi shooters it is good enough that it doesn’t need an online. Matt Cassamania at IGN would agree. Read the N-Query.
Will we see one from a 3rd party? Unlikely. Most Sci Fi Shooters come from big PC developers meaning they are tech whores. Meaning from third party Red Steel 2 is going to be gold even though it’s not sci fi. Ubisoft going to make a lot of money off of Red Steel 2 cause it’s competing in a market on the Wii that’s basically unchallenged.
Will Nintendo make a sci fi FPS with online. Hey always hope for Xenias haha.
Keep in mind it is very close to launch time for MP3, while it is sad that no multiplayer will be in it, there is good news already. The 49 and 79 unannouced titles for the wii and DS could possibly be another metroid game. Does anyone suspect a Metroid Prime Hunters 2?
Hunters 2? Possibly. I have learned that Metroid Dread though was a canned project meaning at one time was real. Just in case anyone cared.
But yea alot of Wii games to announce. And with a few of them being created by the genius himself, Miyamota, hope we hear good stuff from Nintendo. Especially since a main focuse that Nintendo has stated for E3 is revealing new titles that no one knows about.
MPH was one of the best multiplayer games last year and it is still going strong, it is one of the most online played DS games still so that is an abouslte sign that there will be other Metroid games online.

Well not necessarily true. I’m sure by the fanbase that did buy it it is still played heavily. But because sales of Hunters wasn’t entirely amazing it can’t compete with other titles that are on NWC such as Mario Kart or Animal Crossing or the giant right now Pokemon D/P.

Who knows? For all we know if Hunters 2 is made it could even be a possible early 2008 to late 2008 release, all those games have been in development for some time. There could even be another FPS metroid game in develpment right now only waiting to be revealed at E3. Possibly a sequal to the prime series with a new great storyline. Even ninteno knows that The Metroid FPS have been a big hit and they will not stop it here. There is so much they can do with all these possible FPS games between the side-sroller series.
Even though there is no online we will still have great other online games for the wii. I mean at least we get battalion wars 2, that is one game where you can fire at each other and blow the crap out of each other as well.

You did not read the article did you? Metroid has always been like Zelda, a solid single player game that is so good multiplayer is not always needed. While they did consider putting online in it they only had so many resorces so that they could make the main game as great as it could be. MPH was the only online metroid game so far and it was great, definity a sign that they will make more Metroid multiplayer games. While Metroid Prime 3 may have no multiplayer there is still a chance of the extra feature they promised, metroid prime 3 may have no multiplayer in the game itself but maybe in the future it can be a downloadable extra for later.
