I agree with Wolfies decision, but in my opinion, the real problem here stems from Bjarne’s overall lack of involvement in this site. If Bjarne had merely been around to notice what Weeman had done, he might have taken action against him, but instead he was gone, like he always is, unable or unwilling to do anything pro-actively for the site. What I personally feel should happen, and I believe that I have stated this before, is that another rank, one above that of moderator, should be implemented, a rank that gives them even more powers, possibly the ability to mess with some of the sites code. This rank would be below Bjarne, but above the rest of the moderating team and would have the ability to demote or ban the moderators on the site.
i agree with derdev, and i also think that that should be pretty much the honer of honers. looking at every member of this sight, i only see gr being qualified. maybe firewolf eventualy, but for now, he is still to new. i also think that there should be a lower rank that can edit posts, move topics, ban for at the most a week (and maybe not even that), justa few things like that. that could be a good place for peole who want to become mods so the current mod team can sort of evaluate them and see how they work under pressure without having to give them full power yet.
but, ya, i agree with the first post. a few mods seem to have done this a little, but i think it should be standard.

Thought of this a long time ago. And actually I’m already guarding against this. When a message or a topic is deleted it isn’t really “deleted” as in “gone forever”, but, basically, just made invisible (backed up). I can undelete stuff if necessary.... Also I can see exactly which mod did what and when (logging).
Regading the idea of giving moderators, in essense two seperate accounts. One normal and one for moderation I’ll say this:
*Right now they can just register for a second normal user account and use that for posting - and then only use their moderator account when they need to moderate something. This normal account can be banned and whatnot by other mods.
*Currently it’s not possible to have two accounts by the same name (I assume this is more or less what is requested) and it will not be enabled. HOWEVER: At some time the user type/permissions system will be improved and when this happens I think it may actually be perfectly possible to ban a moderator and whatnot (permissions will be seperate from the user account itself). (Actually right now this is how it goes: members/guests < moderators < me : I can ban and moderate posts made by moderators if necessary)
Regarding moderators and when they act biased, abuse their powers or otherwise, in your opinion deserve demotion or some other form of punishment please keep in mind that while I’m on the site almost every day, I rarely have the time to actually read everything (or even a fraction) of what is posted. Therefore do this:
PM me including links to posts/topics. Describe what has happened and why you think a moderator deserves demotion/punishment.
What a moderator can do to you, I can do to a moderator...
Moderators are NOT AND MUST NOT BE allowed to abuse their power and relative immunity to do things that break the rules. The same rules must apply to all (including moderators and I)
My personal opinion is that our moderators are too damn lenient on this site. On any other site for some of the actions members have taken here would get perma bans in the matter of seconds. Such as the whole controversy between myself and 21 as of late. I can tell you on any other forum I and 21 would have been temp banned immediately and his OP account would have been perma banned.
I think the problems are our mods think that they have to get assurance from others to do their job. They are afraid if they make a mistake people will hate them or the admin, you Bjarne, will demote them for our actions. They shouldn’t have to worry about that. They should do their job accordingly keeping the forum strict but free. Not run a dictatorship but not let people simply do what they want. I think only SA-X has done that right and that’s why he’s built up the most hate cause people are too damn used to getting off easy.
But that’s the problem I’m seeing. I think we need our mods to be more strict and they need to have without fear or regret of their decisions. That’s my personal look on this.

What he said before my post was. I thought it was over but no, he hates me so much he has to try and get me banned. I was warned for discrimination against other people’s beliefs or in other words Zucas support of Ram’s Nazi-like quote.
