shadow of the colosus takes the gameplay of zelda and makes it ten times better and ads amped up graphics. the creatures can be incredibly chalenging to beat.
in one stage u will find a castle and a big open feild with nothing around. you eventually come closer and closer to the edge and then sudenly a huge colosi jumps up and it seems like it doesnt stop getting taller. then when it goes back down to your view ur nothing compared to the size of its feet. and then you run away and gota work out what to do and this took me ages to work out but then u get it to step on a platform so u can get up to another platform. cept instead of me getting him to step on the platform he steped on me lol.
then when you get up u gota make him hit the wall so it nocks some blocks down. then u climb up and go over to a bridge and then he breaks that, then u jump down on his head and start stabing making sure u dont fall off as he thrusts about. then when it stops doing big damage in that area you got to stab his arm or something to make him drop his sword. then he might fall over or something i cant remember. then u stab his hand to finally kill him off.
when your down there and you turn around to see the colosi is bringing down his weapon which seems like slow motion because of the adrenalin rush, you think ohhhh fuck!!!!!!! then the weapon comes crashing down on you killing you
i think that the story line is the best story out there.
how you are slaying living mountains to bring your true love back from the dead, how its only posible with the sword that you stole. but when the horse falls off that huge cliff to save you near the end, thats sad. but the kingsmen are so evil. the main character knew from the begining that bringing her back to life might mean he has to sacrafice himself, yet he did it anyway. and the voice was using you to bring the colossi back together to form that demon, how the kingsmen couldnt kill the demon all those years ago, so they had to seperate it into 16 colossi, and they used you to become whole again, and then they had to use your body, but the kingsmen tryed to kill you with a spell at the end, but you turned back to a baby, and the horse came limping up the steps, after that huge fall, and then your true love awakens, and she and the horse walk slowly over to where you lay as a baby,(because the horse had a broken leg) and then they bring you up to the top of the temple, where there is a huge garden, and you two and the horse can never leave the forbiden land, because when the kingsmen left they destroyed the bridge so that nobody would make the same decision you did in bringing the colossi back together, and to make sure that if the demon lived after that that it wouldnt come and wreak havoc on the land as it did before it was split and banished to the forbiden land. its sooo sad. yet the best story ever. and yes it would be better if the final colossus moved around a bit more, but that would make it sooo much harder. he was tough to reach, and tough to get to the top of him to get to his weak point.
