Three of my friends have already gotten rid of their Wii consoles via ebay. The wow factor gone. One of them is even getting rid of his DS as well. Just giving up on Nintendo altogether, and apparently not even Mario Galaxy looming changed their minds.
While another friend of mine every now and then gets himself excited to go buy the Wii (the only console he hasnt played this gen yet), but when he goes shopping, or thinks about it some more, ends up changing his mind again with a smirk. Then a few weeks later will go thru the whole process again.

anybody that thinks otherwise obviously hasnt played one for more than an hour (good game). They absouluty take the piss out of the other consoles, you know, the ones with more ram, cpu power and higher proformance graphics cards to the last generation (but nowhere near as powerful as pc hardware). Any one that doults the wii is the clear winner with the direction it took should look at the sales and take a sneak peak into the next next generation that sony and microsoft will be trying to improve on, bet graphics wont be so high on the agenda next time.
i sound like a wii freak but im not, i dont have any console. i know about 8 - 10 people with wii’s though, 1 person with a 360, ps3 kind of a joke around these parts, sony did bluntly lie to us (want did they expect) havnt brought a sony anything since.

No, I am not fed up with Nintendo, I’m a little disappointed towards it not including pretty graphics, but u guys r so obsessed with graphics and power u can’t even see further than ur noses, I bet Nintendo would have wanted a console as powerful as teh PS3 but it had to make a choice, Nintendo IMO has teh biggest balls in teh industry, for taking such high risk by releasing teh Wii and succeeding...

This thread is really old. But i can’t take your judgement serious since you don’t own a console. But i’ll tell you from my experience that the PS3 is 100 times better than the Wii IMO.
The only good Wii games come from Nintendo, and even then they are really nothing new. And i think the Wii-mote is terrible.

i might not own a wii (am considering one) but i have played on many games for many many hours round friends houses and i think there great. Although for me nothing beats online pc gaming, wii’s are great social consoles (makes a change) ive seen everyone from young kids to grandmothers have a go, and everyone has fun. there hasnt been a console in history that gets my grandparents having fun on them, its good to see.
the ps3 is great if you want a blu-ray player, but why would you? it would take ages to download a torrent also for me the final fantasy game, but im not forking out for a new console for one game, nothing else interests me, pc games have evolved over console gaming in many areas and although there are trying to catch up a little they will never fully succeed. the wii on the other hand is a totally new experience.
i still long for the day where virtual reality makes a come back, im still pretty confident one day it will happen. Maybe the next load of consoles, fingers crossed.

Actually its quite normal for PC guys to love the Wii and hate the PS360. Why? Well they are protecting their market. Wii isn’t trying to infringe upon the hardcore PC market or be a wannabe PC. No offense to PS360 but they seriously have bene infringing upon that market ever since they were announced.
But my point is because they don’t see the Wii as competing to take that market, they go at the PS360, especially the 360, who does infringe upon that market. Thuse they’ll say such lines as Wii is the only true next gen console, as they feel its the only console.
I to a certain degree agree with them.

To be honest, yes I hated my Wii, I want to play games like Gears of War, Halo 3, Resistance Fall of Man, BioShock and Call of Duty 4 not Cooking mama or any of that shit. I dont want to have to swing a fucking “Wiimote” around in the air, and if i want to play tennis,bowling, or golf then i will go out side and play the real thing. I hated my Wii and i wont bother buying another.
Its made for little kids and old people and i have no desire to play any of its “good” games.
