Can anything stop this Mario Party game. And for the worst rated in the series people sure seem to flock to it. Amazing set of preorders. But it gets even better:
In that same week Hot Shots Golf for the PS3 is also releasing and it has a 300,000 preorder going for it. Sounds like Mario Party 8 will outdo it and the one week PS3 had the chance to outsell software and hardware wise will be crushed. Nintenod probably set it for that week for that exact same reason. Now this is what you call a battle in the market eh.

Halo 2 had way more. But Mario party? That is actually kinda impressive.
Well that’s a killer AP and for some odd reason Halo has always had these ungodly preorders after Halo. My reasoning has been that, although many won’t like to hear it, it is the lone huge killer AP that the 360 and Xbox had. There was nothing else huge that could really compete with it. While Nintendo had the likes of Mario, SSB, Zelda, Metroid, ect ect. And Sony had the likes of FF, MGS, R and C, God of War, ect. But when comparing upon those grounds only Halo really fits up in there as there really is no other game that has ever released on 360 or Xbox that could fit into that category when talking at least sales perspective and whatnot.
True true, but they were the reasons I got an Xbox in the first place, along with the already out games and great graphics at the time (the original Xbox).
Yea this may be one of the best saling in the series. I think the best saling Mario Party game sold somewhere around 2 million copies but this one is defo looking to overtake. I mean 500,000 preorder in Japan, 750,000 already sold in Japan, and I think it just release in Europe.
I’ve heard it sucked as well which is why I haven’t bought it. Of course I have bought a Mario Party game since the 4th one. And I didn’t even like that one. Last mario Party game I liked was the 2nd one.
It really was the ultimate party game. I use to bring it over to friend’s houses all the time. But after the 3rd and 4th it got really repetive and lost it’s luster. But I’m hoping MP9 will have online and kinda bring this series from the dead in terms of quality.
