If people could please go to the feedback topic and put all their discussion there.
Maybe sticky this for the time being? So as to avoid multiple threads happening. This being just an alert showing them where to discuss? --- Look into my eyes and hate me. Part animal, part machine...remain calm, prepare to destroy.

gg not logged in Guest | I asked for it to be stickied so that people who spend 24/7 in off-topic and dont visit feedback can actually see the thread, not have it fall down to page 3, etc.
I want people’s opinions and feedback regarding the issue in feedback. Just contribute to the discussion. Like you had your thread you created (the big MVC meeting). | |

Regular Rep: 6 Joined: 20 Nov 2004 Posts: 1,286 | I stickied it because I thought it was an important issue. I’ve been bringing it up to Bjarne in pm a lot in the past (separating off-topic from codec discussions), and I was just trying to poll the off-topic people for their opinions. Apparently not many people are taking notice (or maybe they don’t care); the few that responded seem split about 60-40 (of course that’s too small a sample size to say it represents the regulars anyway). I might repost something about this at a later time (a more organized poll - one for pro/against separation, and if that falls through, one for suggesting a new domain name). I’m unstickying the thread now.

— clarification —
I didn’t state it specifically until the very end of the other thread, but my idea of separation was to copy all the off-topic posts to another domain, not start from scratch. (should be feasible) I suspect a lot of people who responded negatively thought a new domain would start from scratch with everyone’s post count at 0. Which would therefore entail a continuation of post counts etc.
But, thanks anonymous for stickying it and opening a new poll/discussion in time. And for needling Bjarne little by little on this whole issue. --- Look into my eyes and hate me. Part animal, part machine...remain calm, prepare to destroy.
