Metroid set the standards of what Sci fi shooter would be in the NES era. Not only that but innovated this again with Metroid Prime making it not only the 3rd most critically acclaimed game of all time but making it the most critically acclaimed shooter of all time.

But that would be the credentials which doesn’t necessarily mean my opinion. But in this case it’s the same haha. Both are great series but I go with Metroid.
