new controller= it has a strange black and slightly clear plastic to it. its lightweight, solid and the sholder buttens are different and i never found fingers sliping off to be a problem. i never got the chance to test out the motion sensing while playing motor storm but i think i just forgot to tilt it cus i could bearly steer on motor storm haha.
1080 p with gt hd is amazing. you can see everything! the music player was kinda awkward when i tried to change the visual effect but i think thats because you only have a choice between the main menu and some visual thing. i see why some would prefer the 360 over the ps3 more clearly now. after my first short play with ps3 i have lower hopes with some parts of it but higher hopes with others. i was really amazed bout the demo i had with it and im definatly confirming im gona get a ps3 this month
Haha who would have ever thought P. Moore was going to apsolutely love the PS3 and everything about it haha. Was like wondering if I was gonna like the Wii haha.
--- It’s not about money. It’s about sending a message. Everything burns.
i looov 1080 p. so much detail. although i hav a funny feeling it was 1080 i not p cus when the screen moved the distance got all blurly. but i only got to play with the ps3 for 10 min.
the ps3 had this big tv with suround sound and a couch. while the 360 had a small 32 inch samsung with no couch lol. i think the ps3 has better display things here in NZ. and for wii. well they dont have any. infact i couldnt find a rack of wii games or stuff. but finall i found it and they wernt selling that much of it
i wasnt too sure if gt hd was playing in 1080 p or not. since i was sitting quite a fair way away from the tv. and I is only blury during movement. cus it has like 2 pictures on the screen at once. it might of just been because the screen was lcd tho
Interlaced is always going to be blurrier than progressive, motion or not. This is because it has to switch between lines at double the frequency of interlaced. The same idea is applied in PC gaming with screen refresh rates. If you go from 60Hz to 100Hz there is a far clearer scene.
And, since you were playing GTHD, I’m assuming the faster you went, the world blurred around you. That’s motion blur, since it happens in real life too.
theres programed blur in video games so i dont really see the point in getting a tv without motion blur problem as there is motion blur anyways in the games. i couldnt go into the settings since it was a demo ps3. but i found it very easy to use with menu navigation, everything was where i expected it to be. while with the 360 i often find some settings to not be in the setings section. btw i looov the option of so many settings on ps3! get just the right colour etc.

That’s what I was saying...About the blur. You were saying it was interlaced, I was saying it had post processing effects. Had it been progressive there still would’ve been blur.

hmm. but it was when i was looking in the far distance of the mountains and when i moved the screen just a little bit i found it lost focus.
Another post processing effect (possibly) known as depth of field or distance blur. I think distance blur applies here, but I’m not sure if that’s the technical name...Maybe not even a post process but rather a filter...
Or it could be the tunneling effect driving a car has. If you moved, the mountains would be more off-center, thus blurred more. Its how racing games use motion blur.
yeah haha, i wondered why i was bearly turning in motor storm. i didnt realise i was suposed to tilt the controller till after i stoped playing it XD. but cool demo. for some reason the graphics didnt seem quite as good as i expected. eg. the fire effects out of the exhaust, but then again is was just a demo
i wana play a ps3 again!!! its soo cool with its couch and big tv!!! while the 360 has a tiny little tv with no couch (i could swear the 360 doesnt even run in 720 p on those tvs)
