Awesome, I would like to check that out too... drum sets fascinate me. I don’t know much about the parts or how to play them, but I want to learn. Nobody around here plays the drums so I don’t have anyone to show me how everything works.

I admire drummers... the amount of skill it takes to play the drums well is amazing. The drums is easily the hardest instrument to play in your average band. And I respect the ones who can play them.

I want to learn how to play the bass soon.

What type of China?

Specs and pics of your set-up?

Let’s see...

It’s a vintage Paiste 200 China cymbal made in the 70’s

It even says made in West Germany, as opposed to just Germany nowadays.

I don’t have pics now, but here’s what I use.

Paiste 802 Hi-Hat 13”
Paiste 802 Crash 16”
Paiste 802 Ride 18”
Vintage Paiste 200 China 16”
Pearl Double-Bass Pedals
Sunlite Bass Drum
Sunlite Snare Drum
Sunlite Tom toms (Small and Middle)
Sunlite Floor Tom

Yeah playing the guitar comes natural to me. Well i’m just guessing off of what my guitar teacher said. He said i’ve learned faster than any student he’s ever had.

I totally know what you mean.

It does take far more skill than the average person realises, yeah.

Interesting. Never heard of the 802’s up til now, but I don’t really know Paiste outside of their pro lines of 2002 and Signature.

My Current Set Up (including additions that are on their way - pedals and HHX);

Mapex M-Birch in Black Forest Green

22 x 18 Bass Drum
10 x 8 Rack Tom
12 x 10 Rack Tom
13 x 11 Rack Floor
16 x 16 Floor
13 x 6 Ahead Brass Snare with Dunnett Strainer

Sabian Paragon 22” Ride
Sabian AA Metal-X 14” Hi-Hats
Sabian HHX 17” Studio Crash
Zildjian 18” Avedis Medium Thin Crash
Zildjian 17” K Custom Dark Crash
Zildjian 16” Crash
Wuhan 8” Traditional Splash
Wuhan 16” Traditional China
Stagg Black Metal Bell 7” Heavy
Stagg Traditional 18” China

Evans Coated G2’s on toms, apart from the 10” because I actually prefer the sound of a clear on that one. EMAD and REMAD on bass drum, with Danmar Metal click pad.

Hardware: Mapex 550A and 750A series, with two cheapo Stagg Booms and one Gibraltar Boom arm. Double Kick Pedal is a DW5002AD3.

Yeah, I’m exclusively a Paiste user. Very consistent, and decent sound too.

ROFL

you aunt’s probably one of the people who think the song “the number of the beast” was supporting satanic rituals or whatever, rofl.

not to mention a lot of their songs have biblical references in them.

Yeah my aunt is a total cunt if you didn’t read that thread I made about her a few months ago. Remember that whole email she sent me about Marilyn Manson?

Yeah she automatically saw The Number of The Beast and judged it satanist... what a fucking douchebag.

I had to go to church a few miniutes ago... and I absolutely hated it. Pure waste of time... just a bunch of old people blabbing about feeling God inside of them and getting “in the spirit” and all of this shit. Boring as hell... I had to sit through that crap for an hour and 15 miniutes.

Yeah I should make a cd of them and leave it laying on the floor somewhere for my mom to find. And then tell her that i’m a crazy bloodthirsty cannibal.

I like to mix and match my cymbals, although if I had the choice, I’d be an exclusive Sabian user.
