Awesome, I would like to check that out too...

Changed my mind on the DW5002’s;

I give you the 2007 Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Pedal. One motherfucking heavy piece of Metal right there. This thing is solid as shit.

Once you’ve set on up, it makes sense =P

I use a Pearl-made double bass, it’s one fast piece of shit.

I’ve gotten it going faster than my hands.

Purposely, or is that just poor practice?

What sort of speeds are we talking? I was at 210 bpm on my old shitty Mapex P380. Nowadays I’m slower because I can’t be bothered to put in the effort to keep the speeds up. I’m all about Stick Control now. Flam taps ftw.

Purposely, I wanted to see how fast I could go.

Yeah, I’m getting into stick control now because of marching band.

As for the speed, I don’t know how many bpm. I do know I was playing faster than 240, that’s the highest my metronome on my keyboard goes.

Yeah, although I still don’t QUITE have the hang of using double bass in actual playing yet.

Anyway, I need help from anyone who plays guitar.

Soon enough Im getting a new guitar to replace my current piece of shit strat copy. Ive decided on a Jackson king v. Ive also decided on a Bill lawrence XL500 pickup in the bridge position, and A dimarzio humbucker from hell in the neck position. Depending on how it feels, I might also replace the neck. Now, whats buggging me is the tremolo system. I cant decide whick one to get. The easiest would be an original floyd rose, since it wouldnt require any routing. The best for my style of playing would be either a kahler 2315, or an Ibanez ZR tremolo. Any suggestions?

Proof or lies, frankly. There are very few people on the planet playing a clean and consistent 240+.

lol I never said it was clean or consistent.

Very wavery, sloppy, and bleh. But I did it.

The fastest I can play it remotely decently is 180-ish I would guess.

Cool. I’m about that level these days.

Tbh, it takes up waaaay too much of your time to get up to a clean and consistent 220+, let alone 240. It’s mental.

Yeah, I’d have to be getting paid to try and go that fast.

Have you seen the double-bass pedals that instead of having the slave pedal on the left side of the snare, it’s played with your right heel?

I tried using one, fucking hard for me.

Yeah, Sonor Giant Step. I’ve played them, and found that they’re good for effects and accents. Not so good for straight 16ths. But then, that’s boring anyway :P
