King of MVC Rep: 24  Joined: 20 Dec 2006 Posts: 8,475 OFFLINE | Weeman has made many contreversal moves as a mod recently, especially in regard to his actions in the furries thread, his arguements with Firewolf and his self admited nervousness about using his moderating powers until recently.
SA-X has a history of contrevery, taking part in the closing of the “I played the rev and it sucks” thread which sparked major debate across the entire forum, not necessarily a bad guy but has a bad habit of flaming members that don’t agree with him. Add too it that he is hardly ever on this site anymore and has on occasion dissappeared for months at a time.
Cid is the “Happy go lucky” Moderator. Sometimes a little too dependant on keeping his friends happy that he is afraid to take the actions to protect this site. Cid has the skills but the question is “Will he use them effectively?"
Firewolf has gone from the most popular mod on the site to the least popular mod on this site because of his argessive stand against spamming and pornography. He is a fine example of what a moderator can and should be doing.
Etain is very intelligent, but lacks the ability to commit to this site due to outside factors. She is very good at dealing with issues of pornography and has strong moral values when it comes to the indecent exposure of women.
Bjarne is good at what he does but has a life outside of moviecodec that causes him not to come online very often. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn’t help the site any in the event that a mod losses there cool.
Goldenraptor, all I can say is that he used to be a wonderful moderator. As of late he has taken on an incredibly conservative tone, reluctant to embrase new idea’s and even more reluctant to sieze change to this site. His loyalties lie with those members who have been on this site the longest, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that he has given his account out to members on this site who have no business acting as a moderator, myself and kevin included. If Bjarne wanted somebody else to do his job, then he would have made them moderators not him.
Annonymous, it’s rare to see him online but he definately had his moments back in the day. I don’t know how many times he has used his moderating powers over the last few months but I’d be willing to bet they are few and far apart. I am not sure but I believe he works on coding for Bjarne and if he does then I comend him on it.

Despite a few fuckups, that doesnt automatically mean that they suck. It could just be that Im still a n00b, but the mods display good judgement when it comes down to it.

Yes, I agree with that completely. I even said it myself. But I’m slowly trying to break that problem. Give me a few more weeks and I’ll probably be over it.

Anonymous usually moderates the sections that the rest of us Moderators are too stupid to moderate. the main forums basically. He is active and uses his mod powers just about every day.

Derdev- I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at some of the things you wrote. Especially about the “feminist bent” for deleting obvious pornography, etc. Some people on the site see me as a “feminist” simply because I believe women should be treated like human beings. “Real feminists” usually don’t like me much.
