i heard their new stuff that comes out in September is going back to the black album days...should be a step up from saint anger.
Well, just about anything is a step up from Saint Anger...
Oh wait...
Fucking Cryptopsy.
Very very true. Looking at Cryptopsy’s page, everyone loves their new shit. That pisses me off big time.
I bought Saint Anger before I was really into metal. I listened to it once. The next day I attempted to take it back to the store.
In all honesty, Ive heard neither.
You are one of the lucky ones, then. I wish I was you.
Although Ive still heard Load..
And Reload...
Load and Reload at least had solos, and the vocals didn’t sound like a mumbling retard.
I dare you to listen to some of the St. Anger shit. lol.
Saint Anger was not their best. I preferred Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, and the Black Album, also And Justice for All. Classic Metallica.
Most definitely.
Let’s hope their next album is some good shit. I mean, it’s Metallica.

Yeah, hopefully the vocals will improve since St. Anger, but really the best I think they can get is another Load or Re-Load, as far as the vocals go. Really doubt they’re ever gunna sound like The Black Album again.

Haha yeah overrated is basically another way to say the word Metallica. Bands like King Diamond, Mercyful Fate, Flotsam and Jetsam, Sodom, Kreator, Megadeth, Overkill, etc.... are just as good, if not much better in some cases. Theres just plenty of good thrash out there. I really think the “big four” bands (Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax) really are no better than the ones I just previously mentioned, if not worse. Just shows how much money and media run the music industry.

Now The Black Album would have to be my favorite from Metallica, second would have to be Ride The Lightning. They need to get back to how they used to be. It’s too bad that Cliff Burton is dead though, imagine how Metallica would be if he was still alive.

Yeah, plus they were way better before they kicked Mustaine (Megadeth guitarist/vocalist) out, he played some of the solo’s in Ride The Lightning and he’s much better than Kirk Hammet. And yeah its sad that Cliffy got killed.

That was a bad point in the band’s life. They were the shit back then. If I’m not listening to Metallica, it’s something like Zeppelin or Megadeth.

And Alice In Chains is not metal, it is Grunge rock, just so you know.

Yeah, it is hard to get into. Thrash is among one my favorites as well. Yes, Cannibal Corpse is death metal, but are a little overrated. Alot of their stuff is good though.
