Nu Metal is hated by most Metalheads mainly because of the sound and their sell-out nature. They try to make metal a part of pop culture and something like “the new thing of today” when Metalheads want metal to remain an underground and private genre of music. Nu Metal also just brings in too much influence from other genres to the point to where it just sounds like pop rock.

It’s not amazing. Quite disappointing, I think.
Opeth are still very, very good at the more mellow sections, but their heavier parts are sounding quite forced.
