First of all - the off-topic and on-topic forums are meant for discussions not covered by other forums.

The different between these two boards is that on the on-topic posts has to stay on-topic.

"Off-topic” was to be supposed to be off-topic from codec-related issues.
I guess now that they have been separated it’s on-topic relative to the lounge. You could rename “off-topic” “on-topic” or “lounge” or “main” or “general”. Something to reflect it’s the core of the lounge.
With regards to “on-topic”: it seems rather unecessary, because “off-topic” is on-topic for the lounge.
