H.G. Wells. The Time Machine.

Last night it was The War of the Worlds. I’ve a pile of 'Literary greats' that I tracked down, mostly sci-fi but the occasional fantasy. I’ve read some, but I wish to look at them all to appreciate english further since leaving high school some years ago.

Now mount up and follow me into hell for now is the time of the feasting of the swords” snarled the grim cimmerian, the volcanic blue of his eyes and the sheer ferocity of his presence, dealing death to any man who would bear that gaze...."

I’m back to the Long Emergency for bed time reading tonight
sub title: Surviving the Converging Catastrophes of the Twenty-First Century

I’m in the middle of chapter 4: Beyond Oil: Why Alternative Fuels Won’t Rescue Us

It’s a real feel-good book, you know?
