It’s actually really good.
I usually don’t read those kinds of books..
but as I stated, I can’t use my library card, and I’ve read all the books in my house except educational ones..
So I figured I’d give it a try.

it’s the sequel to “first they killed my father”, describing the events of her childhood when the khmer rougue invaded Nam Pen in the 1970s, and loung was forced to live in poor labor camps, and experience the death of her two sisters and her parents it’s a really sad book but still very good
Lucky child is about how she deals with her new life in america living with her older brother and her sister in law, while following her other sister Chou who stayed behind in cambodia
I think it’s pretty good i like it.

I think it was great because it was one of the VERY FEW books that actually got my attention. The only more exciting book I’ve read this year is “The Shining” from Stephen King.

Ya, that’s the original. The newer one he put out a few years ago as more pictures and diagrams and and expands on the new research that has come out. So ya, be aware that there’s been a ton of new findings regarding his theories. But I seem to recall Hawking say that he still stands by his original theories and that the new evidence corroborates within them.
Haha, I remember when I was eight, my parents were out and I went into their room. There was “A brief history of time” sitting on their bed stand. So I picked it up and started to read. I felt completely vindicated in my beliefs.
That was the prologue. I tried to read the first chapter and didn’t get past the first two sentences.
...I have no idea what was in that prologue, but it had an effect on me that I remember to this day.
Ironically enough...I still haven’t read the book. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m not interested or because it’ll loose it’s nostalgia for me. (Though I did spend a great deal of time exploring the cd rom...it was a lot easier to understand then the book).
Anyway
......
I just finished reading The Hobbit, hadn’t read it in ages but it’s such a good story. It was the same copy my dad used to read to me when I was little. The cover has fallen off now though....
and I didn’t realize that the original story had a different version of how Bilbo found the ring. Tolkien changed it after he finished the LOTR.
