Ugh... here’s my view on some things that I have yet to see come up in this whole argument which seem to be pretty obvious to me.

Super Buu takes on SSJ2 Goku and SSJ2 Vegeta; if other transformations of Saiyan are pretty substantial, so would Goku’s be from SSJ2 to SSJ3. Why he doesn’t use it when fighting with Vegeta? Strain (he had used it earlier to defend himself as he waited for Gohan to get the earring; trying to stall for time) and Vegeta’s pride (between a potential chance at SSJ3 where he might have enough energy when he can’t easily control his power <stated earlier when he talks about Gotenks> to defeat Super Buu and a guaranteed chance after fusing with Vegeta <based on Elder Kai’s encouragement> he would want to prevent Vegeta from getting mad at him as much as possible). If he ticks off Vegeta by going SSJ3 and not beating Super Buu, maybe Vegeta really would have rather died then fuse with him; Goku knows he’s a hot head at times, so he played it smart (plus, again; the strain on his body).

Okay, everyone keeps saying because Kid Buu wasn’t killing people, that they were equal with him; that’s such a flaw of logic. Fat Buu was a lot weaker then him, and yet he manages to survive the fight; doesn’t mean Kid Buu was struggling, he was sadistically toying with him. Same with Vegeta (chokes him with his arm instead of just blasting). If you don’t believe me, I’d love to see someone make this argument: “Hey, Kid Buu never killed Hercule and they fought; that must mean Hercule is of the same power level since he was 'on par' with him."

There are obviously plot holes in this saga; just like in the whole Cell saga with the time-lines and all of that garbage. I blame some of it on translation issues, and probably some poor planning and explanation on the producers fault. An obvious one for example: Why would Kid Buu get weaker when absorbing powerful enemies of a pure heart, but Super Buu get stronger when absorbing powerful enemies of a pure heart (Gotenks - children; Piccolo - yeah, pretty pure; Gohan - unless he really darkened over his life should be pretty pure still)?

Kid Buu yawns as he fights against SSJ3 Goku; his attacks don’t even phase him, and even if they ever stalled him when Goku was fresh they obviously weren’t enough to harm him, slow him down, lower his energy level; it did nothing of any consequence. I honestly don’t think Goku really had the strength to take Kid Buu down even at the beginning; he thought the Spirit Bomb was enough to finally take him down, but he can’t believe he can push it back. If anything it just shows he doesn’t truly fathom what he’s up against since Buu can just destroy everyone without tapping his energy to the maximum (“I know you’re stronger then me Buu, but this isn’t just my energy it’s everyones!" Heh, he only contradicts what he said earlier himself, so if you were to take his statements at face value, you’d have to trust his most recent one since it would be the one where he had the most knowledge available to him).

If Goku really was par with Kid Buu, why does he freak out so much when Buu charges up his energy to destroy Earth? Rewatch his eyes and what he says, “That blast isn’t meant for us. He’s just trying to blow up the whole planet." That only implies that since they almost lost their lives trying to save their loved ones and the planet, which they sacrifice both of as they flee using instant transmission, that he had no way of stopping it, even with Vegeta with him. Why he didn’t bother using the earrings; probably figured Vegeta wouldn’t want to bother with it even if it was their only hope (duh), and he might have thought he might be able to do it as SSJ3 (but it’s probably more about his honor and how he always goes for the fair fight even if he is outclassed; giving Senzu bean to Cell for example, and he said that Kid Buu wasn’t a fusion himself anymore so that’s where I get the honor thing from).

Supreme Kai (not elder Kai), who knew the most about Buu and could sense energy levels himself, questioned why Vegeta and Goku were going to try fighting Majin Buu at his MOST POWERFUL form of Kid Buu, when he was MORE POWERFUL then ever. If people want to try and argue about how Mystic Gohan was stronger and how Goku could not have possibly kept up it might have something to do with their ability to get stronger after every fight. Technically they hadn’t healed, but the fight had at least delayed long enough their bodies would have recognized it as a finished fight (I really don’t know how it would work, but I imagine it’s something along those lines). I would just chalk it up as another error myself, but it’s the only way I can understand it; along with some helping of stupidity of Goku and Vegeta. If they really thought they had a chance why just stand there gawking instead of stopping Kid Buu on their home planet?

In order to kill Kid Buu; actually kill him, not just be 'equal' to him, or not die it took the combined energies of every person on planet Earth (pretending there’s 5 billion people or so at 1 energy each that’s 5 billion right there), Piccolo and the other weaker Z fighters (that must be a pretty decent chunk there), Mystic Gohan (if everyone is wetting their pants at how easily he would have destroyed Kid Buu and he wanted him to die <obviously> meaning he wouldn’t have held back, why wasn’t his donation along with just the other Z fighters enough; why did they keep needing more energy so desperately that they were screaming and begging the people of Earth for their donated power?), Goten and Trunks (not fused at SSJ3 form, so not nearly as much, but still not a bad donation), and if I’m missing anyone important, that’s just more nails to the coffin. And finally. Gotenks > Goku = Kid Buu; Mystic Gohan > Super Buu > Gotenks BUT Mystic Gohan (who should be enough right there) + Other Z fighters + Goten + Trunks < Kid Buu BY A LONG SHOT? Please explain that, unless Kid Buu was just sadistically killing everyone since he hadn’t existed for a very long time, and had probably never fought people who could take such a powerful beating from him so he reveled in it while it was there.
