Okay I’ll lay down the rules. Sonic’s universe doesn’t get their uber items and characters, because then the Metroid universe would literally be swallowed (probably literally by Solaris). So we aren’t using abything powered by the Chaos Emeralds, World Rings, Solaris, Metal Overlord, Final Hazard, Devil Doom, Alf-Layla-wa-Layla, The Death Egg III, The Eclipse Canon, or Time Stones.
I am however including Mephiles, Iblis, Chaos Zero, Silver, Blaze, Eggman Nega, the Egg Fleet, The Fake Chaos Emerald(for Sonic), the Tornado III, Black Doom, the Biolizard, Metal Sonic, etc.
Metroid gets to use just about anything in their universe. No activating the self destruct sequence in order to blow up a planet or something like that or spamming the Screw Attack. If someone does try argue using that, I will allow Solaris to be used and say he could just destroy the Metroid universe all together.
I’m a fan of both series, but i think the Sonic universe would have the slight edge. Sure the Hunters are insanely tough but then we have the Sonic Heroes. While Espio, Charmy, Big, Cream, and Amy won’t be doing much damage there Shadow, Silver, Blaze, Sonic, Vector, Omega, Gamma, and Chaos Zero will be a different story. There is also the Final Fortress which has cannons bigger than Kraid. Mephiles and the Iblis are very scary too. The Villians from both series will make this all the more interesting.

also the Adventure games are better than the 2D games. The only really good 2d games are Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic Advance 3, and Sonic 3& Knuckles(Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles as seperate games aren’t very good) The 2D Game Gear games kinda suck.
The Adventure games, especially Sonic Adventure 2 was awesome. Heroes was alright, Shadow was cool, Seceret rings was alright, and 06 had potiental.
As far as fighting goes, I don’t think some people realize how powerful Shadow, Silver, Mephiles, the Erazor Djinn, and the Iblis really are. Shadow has crazy speed and Chaos Powers. If he removes his rings then he becomes nearly invicible. Silver is a strong psychic. He may not be at Jean Grey’s level but he still very good. Mephiles the Dark is sick too, Manipulative and powerful beyond what most people would expect from a Sonic game. Iblis can set worlds on fire leaving them in ruins. He/it also posses a demon army. The Erazor Djinn is the Genie of the Lamp. Do not underestimate any of these beings. Even the Hunters, Ridley, and Kraid would not want to mess these guys.

I wouldn’t say owns. The average Metroid game is better than the average Sonic game, but Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 is better than any Metroid game I’ve played. That includes every Metorid game out there except for Metroid 2 and Metroid Prime Pinball. The Adventure games, saving Big the Cat, were just all around greatness.
Not really. I mean plenty of Eggman’s machines and fortresses rival the space ships and bosses in Metroid. Without the Chaos Emeralds, I’d say Shadow and Silver are easily the most powerful Sonic characters. When Shadow removes the rings on his wrist, damn I’d hate to be fighting him even if I was Samus or the Metroid Prime. There are still a few sonic guys that I din’t think of that could do some damgae too. The Gun Commander can use Diablon, which has an energy shield, a beam cannon, and an Anti-Matter Cannon too. The Ifirit Golem and Egg Golem would be a major threat to a lot of metorid characters too(Though the Egg Golem would get owned by most Hunters Ifirit is quite a bit tougher). The Egg-Robos, either the Heroes or Sonic 3&Knuckles model could pilot most of Eggman’s boss machines (For this topic it’s the ones that aren’t powered by the Chaos or Master Emerald). Metal Sonic is one of the more powerful Sonic characters (Don’t mistake that for most powerful though because he is far from that.)
