Also, if anyone on here draws anime or manga, can I see some pictures of your drawings?

Practice the eyes first and get a feel for them then start working on the head shape. There are some great tutorials on the net to see you right. Next, work with hair until you get a good style going.
Practice the body next and do some research on the clothes styles you want and get a feel for how fabric is supposed to flow and fold over the limbs and torso.
Thats about it really. Practice makes perfect.

bahaha-_-its me Guest | draw lightly.
dont erase(erasing kills ur rhytym, like for example, if ur driving(drawing) an u keep stepping on the brakes(erase) every 5 secs ur passenger will be like wtf man?!).
look at what ur drawing 90% of the time an only glance at ur paper 10% of the time.
at least thas what my art teacher told me. i guess it helps with drawing everything, cept ur imagination.

Hmm then you must be pretty good. lol.
I worked on the faces today in math and history class, and I drew some awesome faces for my first anime drawing ever... man I need to learn how to draw the rest of the body and everything. I’ll work on that tomorrow.

by properly, I mean by drawing real things and people, not just cartoon characters designed by people with a degree in art and design or animation

Yeah I noticed that the hands are the hardest part to draw... so are the clothes.

I had a reference for each image, but I didn’t use any tools to help with them.

The Red XIII came from the picture in the Final Fantasy VII strategy guide.
The Inuyasha came from a game manual for a PS1 game.
The Buu... I don’t remember where it came from...
The Naruto and Kakashi came from some naruto book my brother had.
But tracing paper wasn’t a part of any of these pictures.
