why would you lock a topic because it has no name? just wondering. i think we need actual rules on stuff like that. it was in the testing forum, and it was a test. why should it be locked? but, i agree that trying to again and again is just spam.
so, rather then finding a way to correct a glitch that is found in the testing forum (which happens to be the testing forums point, btw), you just lock it?

The point of locking the topics and changing the name was to hopefully prevent a repeat of what happened the last time this glitch was found.
If you don’t remember, it resulted in several members being issued 24 hour bans.
The issue will indeed be brought to the webmaster’s attention, but we don’t need these topics popping up and making everybody want to try to create them again.

I don’t think it was ever brought to Bjarne’s attention last time. I suppose SA-X should have, since he was the one who issued the bans, but he probably forgot. Or he sent Bjarne a message and it was never read.
As for the purpose of this forum, I don’t think it’s purpose is to spam. Which is exactly what’s going to happen if the issue isn’t nipped in the butt early on.
If you are found discussing how to make invisible topics, you can and will get banned for it.
Cid has been nice about it.

Also, I found a much easier way to get into these topics...
right click the forum and click page source then look the the topics which have no name and copy the number. It’s better then digging through randomly, and I can’t believe I was so stupid as to not have done it before.

did you hover above the posters name in the topic title. You should get a red line which you cick on.
No... Internet Explorer doesn’t work for me. Like, it won’t load up. It’s angry because I use Firefox all the time.
