360’s external HD DVD drive wouldn’t work for games anyway, USB wouldn’t transfer the data fast enough.

wow! if this is true their will be no reason to spend the extra money on blu-ray. sony wants blu-ray exclusively to be used but hd-dvd is alowing a gradual change. I may be buying the hd-dvd player after the price drop after all.

I would like to see both blu-ray and hd-dvd fail. in my opinion they both jumped the gun a little bit. a teradisc to dominate would be awesome. it could use hd-dvd’s superior sound codec and blu-rays storage capacity. I hope it kills them both.

We don’t need terabyte disks though, we don’t need higher resolutions then 1080i/p, we don’t need these things.
Consumer HD hasn’t even become standard yet, neither high-speed internet, nor will we ever use up a 50 gig Blu-Ray disk.
I wish i could smack some sense into these developers.
