Philosophical Mind Guest | Ok. . . I don’t neccessarily believe in a God but I believe in a Divine Creator/Entity that started this circular and continuous chain of life, so are you talking to me? I also believe that following the invention of time, Jesus Christ being deemed the direct descendant of God is a one of mans greatest inventions. Did you know that Mary could have gotten pregnant with Jesus by dryhumping John or whoever? I would say fu9k Christianity, but I have respect for other peoples beliefs which is like Jesus' motto. I think this person needs to get in touch with his/her spiritual side. Just to let you know, you can get in touch with your spiritual side without following a religion.

I don’t believe in religion, but I do believe in there being an omnipotent being out there. It’s not vary logical to say Atheist’s should go to hell since most religions would shun that. Any religion that tells you to say such things (I’m sorry for my rudeness) should bit be practiced. That’s just what I believe so if you do practice a religion like that and believe it to be appropriate for you, I just think you’re not doing the right thing. Its still your choice.

Shut the FUCK up.
The fact that you believe in an imaginary space daddy is enough to give you a bad image.

Freedom to imagine and believe in whatever they see fit is part and parcel of having a mind and the ability to use it.
Who’s to say that such a thing doesn’t exist?
Perhaps your mind is too closed to comprehend the existence of beings or entities that exist on a plane of consciousness far exceeding our own.
Like many mysteries in the world, just because you don’t believe in it, doesn’t mean that you have the right to discredit it.
Where is your proof of such a thing not existing?
I presume you have none.
So with all due respect, your comment goes double for you.

If I have to I can show a very good reason not to believe in any god in the judeo-xtian myth. Imagination is what is required to believe in gods (but it isn’t the individual imagination, it is the leaders of the church that make it up and spew it to the brainwashed masses). I used to be a deacon in a church and I found the truth in me and only me. The lies, contradictions and the indoctrination is beyond brainwashing. It is child abuse!

I hardly think anyone is forcing anything on anyone.
Religion is a big part of society, much the same goes for violence, drug abuse, domestic violence, alcoholism, discrimination and stereotyping.
Just because it is prevalent in society, doesn’t mean you have to accept it. Nobody makes someone a drug addict or an alcoholic, just like no one can make you a Christian, or a Buddhist or a atheist.
Its all down to personal choice and strength of will.
So in a way, you are absolutly correct. The truth is in you, much like it is in everyone.
Nobody is above anyone else in their choice of beliefs and morals, but that still doesn’t mean that it gives anyone the right to discriminate against someone else based on their choices.
We are individual and as such, are all accountable to the same freedom of decision.

Oh, nobody makes anyone become something, Ok so if you were forced into sunday school by age 3 and identified as a xtian child from that point on, and that is after the baptism at less than a year. Oh no, nobody took me at a psychologically vulnerable time and told me stories about a man living in a whale, and about a jewish zombie running around telling people to stick their hand in his side. That doesn’t have any serious impact on what you believe. And it isn’t just an accident of geography that you believe what you believe. That is another thing, it is people who see nothing wrong with injecting religion into the secular aspects of life. Guess what it is wrong! And I am at a point where I am willing to fight to stop it. (Non violently I am not a part of Al Qada or anything)
