Be respectful, I won’t tolerate any negative comments made. This was a tragedy, one of the worst of our time.
Are your talking about the 21st century?
If so then due to your logic we should have 50x the respect for the 100,000 citizens of Iraq killed in the 2003 Gulf War. --- It Puts the Lotion on It’s Skin or Else it Gets the Hose Again...

Could you imagine having to jump from that building knowing that you would be jumping to your death but you have to cos you can not take the heat of the fire?

But I do remember that we weren’t told in school, and for some 'odd' reason a lot of parents were checking their kids out of school early. I didn’t find out about the attacks until I was at home where I saw my mother watching. We kept it on the news channel all day and was glued to the screen. ---

Same for me. My mother picked me up practically right after she dropped me off. I was 8 or so and had no idea as to what was happening. I was taken to my grandmothers to stay for the rest of the day and I remember sitting in front of the TV watching the towers fall. I didn’t recognize the towers, and again, didn’t understand what was happening. Last edited 11 Sep 2008 12:16 pm by NEREVAR117

Very mixed reactions from the people. A select few were making very big scenes... crying, flailing their arms... that sort of thing. Most people just took on a dreary attitude. Silent tears by some, most seeming to try to provoke solace. Even the girl who is now my g/f used the situation to try to provoke my sympathy by acting scared and upset (later admitting that she didn’t really care much about the situation either, lol)
All in all, it seemed that the majority used 9/11 to direct attention to themselves for selfish reasons. I just find it interesting and amusing. ---
