Addict (beyond 1337) Rep: 7  Joined: 28 Mar 2006 Posts: 9,238 OFFLINE | Ok I personally will have to say Megadeth, I like Metallica alot, but they have failed to consistantly produce quality albums, unlike Megadeth.
Don’t get me wrong, Metallica fucking owned back before the Black Album.
But Megadeth has been consistantly amazing with each album they have produced, they have always been a good Thrash metal band, their newest album, United Abominations is fucking great. Songs like Gears of War and Sleepwalker are just awesome.
But as for Metallica, thier newest album, St. Anger, sucked donkey dick. And I’m guessing their upcoming album can’t be much better than Re-Load or St. Anger.
Plus, Dave Mustaine is a much better guitarist than Kirk Hammett in my opinion.
But overall, Megadeth has consistantly produced amazing Thrash metal albums ever since Mustaine departed Metallica and started the band.

Lol, Nu-Metal can’t touch Megadeth. Yeah maybe in live events. The band members from Metallica and Megadeth have drank so much alchahol for the last 20 years that i’m surprised they can even play at all period. Plus they are like in their late 40’s with health problems.
But back in 1986 no Nu-Metal band like Lamb of God or Opeth could ever touch em. lol. I personally like Otep and Arch Enemy alot, but I still have respect for the classic ones that started it all.

Despite the fact I have 2 functioning ears and would give my right nut to see megadeth live, and I find all those other bands meh.

Lol I meant Otep... not Opeth. Sorry I get those two names mixed up... though I do concider Lamb of God to be a nu-metal band, but Lamb of God is still pretty decent.

Well whatever, lol. I still think Lamb of God is just as overrated as some of those nu-metal bands, but despite of their mallcore mainstreamness I think they are okay.
I’ve just met alot of people that are like “my favorite bands are Slipknot, Korn, Lamb of God, and old Linkin Park” and every time I go to get a game from the mall I see a big group of goths wearing Lamb of God or Korn shirts.
