All the new crap like lamb of god and, sorry but, cradle of filth are what i like to call “messy metal." The only thing they have going for them is how loud the can play and thats not an accomplishment. Most awesome Megadeth songs have an unbeatable guitar solo:

Im not saying anything against otep, never heard em. I find LoG mediocre, songs sound the same, ast ozzfest the played Bark at the moon, and it sound like shit all grunty. And shitty thrash? Come on man, thrash is the starting point for todays metal.

Family values is simply korn and a bunch of other nu metal bands, so it sucks the collective metal rectum. Opeth I havent heard, so Im not judging them. I dont like arch enemy, and LoG songs all sound the same. And you are saying Megadeth is shit. You know what, if you want a perfect concert, go watch hilary duff lip sync, and get out of my subculture. Megadeth is terrific live, Ive had friends who have been to concerts tell me, I never get to go since Im a broke motherfucker.
Megadeath may be one of the 'founding fathers' of thrash metal bands; just like Metallica, Anthrax and Slayer.
But let’s face it - Metallica had by far the biggest influence in the Metal world, and Slayer in the Extreme Metal world. Megadeath and Anthrax are both massively overrated and have made little contribution to music, frankly.
Thats why Metallica started going down hill after he ran out of Mustaine’s music he had written for Metallica when he was in it. Mustaine is a guitar god.
Metallica can’t produce a good album anymore. Meanwhile Megadeth is still pumping out awesome albums (besides Youthanasia).

Honestly, metallica and slayer are both overrated. Metallica last good album was in 1991, and slayer, while incredibly influential, gets really fucking annoying once every other asshole yells “SLAYER!!" at the top of their lungs at you. It may be because Im a mustaine fanboy, but I think they are way better than metallica. Before all this playing live bullshit got brought up by DVDA, thats all I was saying.

Well, only abut5-10 lica songs have a writing credit to mustaine, but good portions of their first 2 albums were played by mustaine on their demos and early on, live.
Anyway, Megadeth is, in my opinion better. All of Megadeth’s albums were great, and Megadeth has not sold out. Metallica was good untill they sold out.
