OMFG EVERYWUN IN HERE iS FUCCIN RETARDED HE SAYSZ BEST RAPPER ALIVE SO DONT COMPARE HIM 2 BIG OR PAC 2ND OF ALL ONLY FEW RAPPERSZ ARE CLOSE 2 HISZ LEVEL JAY Z NAS ICE CUBE ETC.. BHUT HE ISZ THE BEST!!!
Okay, I’ll settle it all. Lil' Wayne says he’s the best rapper alive, because he states in more then 3 songs that Tupac will be the best who ever lived. Kanye West has never claimed to be the best “Hip-Hop” legend, because he describes his own sound as “Pop-Hip-Hop." They’re two different genres. Jay-Z has signed more popular artists than Dr. Dre, so it’s impossible to keep him from being recognized, but still, Lil' Wayne’s signed in more songs, featured on more albums, and produced more videos than, then any other individual rapper out there. You keep repeated Bone Thugs, but let’s be honest... It’s a GROUP. Lil' Wayne doesn’t write his rhymes, he spontaneously imagines them. His voice is so unique that no one alive has tried to copy-cat it, unlike Talib did with Kanye, or Jon Young with eminem. No doubt about it, it doesn’t matter what your favorite style or genre is, give all rappers credit for their accomplishments, but realize that Lil' Wayne’s a monster in the Hip-Hop industry, and while he sheds light on serious issues like Katrina and African poverty, he still finds time in his incessant studio life to make catchy party tunes like “Lollipop” to entertain enormous groups that are more than just cults. I wouldn’t say he’s my favorite, but all in all, Lil' Wayne preaches to be the best rapper alive... and as of now, he is. Peace
I wouldn’t say he is. Just because you say so doesn’t meant that he is. I could say that Rick Ross is the greatest. That doesn’t make it true just because he has catchy songs and makes a lot of money. Wayne is good, very good, but not the best.
First of all, comparing Weezy to all these old school rappers is irrelevent. Each time in rap history has its own standards and comparing rappers from different times is near impossible because the style has evolved and changed so much.
As far as modern rap goes, Weezy is one of the most clever and creative dudes out there. Whether you like his style or not, you cannot deny that over the last year he has put out more hot music than any other rapper in the game right now.
I don’t think he has the prestige of Jay or Nas right now, but just give him a few more years and he will be reconized as one of the best.
