Lil wayne seems to pride himself on his lyrics and ability to kill other rappers, and everybody seems to think he’s great, but I don’t see it. His songs are about absolutely nothing. He can not write a song about one topic other than himself being cool. People love his stupid metaphors similes and comparisons, but they get old when that’s all he does. Plus, I think any decent rapper could come up with comparisons and similes just as good as wayne if they wanted to spend entire albums on them. Lil wayne’s popularity lies in his style, “coolness” and unique rapping, which are all being mistaken for talent. Just because it is unique, does not mean it is good.
I’m not a big gangsta rap fan, if you can even consider wayne that, but I think the best rappers in the game right now are lupe and chamillionaire, lupe hands down the best.
i just love it when weezy gets on tv shows on mtv and bet and any other networks. everybody praises him. saying he is the greatest and all this shit. it makes me sick at the same time. this dude is hot garbage. the only talent he has is makin stupid metaphors. and alot of people think he is the best. MAY SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME A SONG WHERE LIL WAYNE TALKS ABOUT SOMETHING because all i hear is a whole lot of shit on the same song"cash money records, pussy and drugs”. by the way did you see the dudes freestyle on 106 & park? when rocsi and the other guy(i forgot his name) asked him to do a freestyle you can tell that lil wayne didnt want to do it because of the facial express he made. was it because he knew he has no talent. but any ways it sounded like it was coming out of a 1st graders mouth he kept on using thephrase " no i mean , no i mean” OH YEA THA CARTA III SUCKED. hehe nas is greatest rapper alive and lupe is workin his way up to that status
Eminem and Nas are the best rappers alive. eminem has a new album coming out this year too!
lil wayne fucking sucks! he fucked up the game with his gay ass songs like Lollipop and Millie

What the fuck are you talking about? Millie was good song.
--- When good men do nothing, that is evil enough.
How does Lil Wayne have any Lyrical content at all? Does he even have any creative production behind him apart from Fruit loop presets? I’d rather listen to 50 cent then this lil wanker! and 50 cent can eat a fat dick aswell, This is’nt Hip Hop or Rap music, It’s fucking Pop music for the white masses!
You all forget about where Hip Hop came from, FUCKING James Brown!, I don’t hear any Hip Hop elements in Lil' Wayne’s music? Can you? or is it just me? THE REAL HIP HOP EXISTED IN THE 80’s-90’s, Computers killed Hip Hop if anything with your little faggot ass Programs, Heres some advice! GO OUT, BUY AN MPC, SOME JAMES BROWN RECORDS, SOME TURNTABLES, A MIC and FUCKING MAKE THE REAL HIP HOP! SOMETHING THAT MEANS SOMETHING!!!!! REAL HIP HOP - Lyricists: Rakim, C.L. Smooth, Nasty Nas, Kane, G Rap, KRS, The D.O.C., Cube and those emcees who have a cult-following and know how to rock the spot. Producers: Pete Rock, DJ Premier, RZA, Large Professor, J Dilla (RIP), 9th Wonder, Havoc, Damu the Fudgemunk, Eric B, Easy Mo Bee, Kev Brown, MF Doom, Hi-Tek, Bomb Squad, Thes One, Prince Paul, Q-Tip (Early), Ced-Gee, DJ Muggs, Da Beatminerz, Dr. Dre (80’s - 90’s), Marley Marl, Terminator X, Cut Chemist, L.E.S, Lord Finesse, Showbiz and A.G, K-Murdok, Mekalek, Erick Sermon (EPMD/Redman Days), DJ Yella, DJ Pooh, Biz Markie, A-Plus, Trackmasters, Ski Beatz (Reasonable Doubt Beats) and so on.
All Lil Wayne has is punchlines. They are totally random and don’t relate to each other line to line. I bet I could take random lines from his song, string them together and you Lil Wayne sheep would think that it is the next great new thing.
And whatever idiot said the Fetherline line was good is an idiot. If you didn’t figure it out, he had to change the pronunciation of his name to make it rhyme. Just plain stupid. I also like his other rhymes in that song, where he rhymes “hair in a comb” to “hair in a comb” and “houses pain” to “house of pain”.
Rap today sucks. We went from Young Joc to DJ Khaled to Soulja Boi to Lil Wayne being hot. Seriously don’t you idiots spot a pattern. All that popular music just flat out sucks.
Let me post some the lyrics to the most well known song Lil Wayne has ever been it. This is seriously the only song that has lasted more than 2 years that he has been in/done. These are his lyrics:
Now now now now now
After you back it up, then stop
Then wha-wha-what, drop drop it like its hot
Now after you back it up, then stop
Now, wha-wha-wha-what drop it like its hot
Now drop it like its hot, drop drop it like its hot
C-m-b make you drop it like its hot
Drop it like its hot, drop drop it like its hot
Drop it like its hot, drop drop it like its hot
Ha
wobble de wobble de a wobble de wobble
And finally, listen to Illmatic, it SHITS on any album that Lil Wayne has ever done. I don’t care if it is old. It is a classic, unlike any album Lil Wayne will ever do.

Wayne aint da fuckin' best rapper alive or nun' of dat bullshit he be sayin'.He a fake ass wanna be gangsta. If u can recall on da carter 2 album he said, “I aint no killa”, then on da carter 3 he said, “I got 4 tears on my face and I ment everyone of them”. On top of dat how can u have 4 tear drops on yo face and not be in prison by now. “WAYNE AINT NOTHIN BUT A FAKE ASS WANNA BE BEST RAPPER ALIVE BITCH”.
Thank you...!!! I was starting to think I was a Martian.
LiL Wayne is “Raw chicken been sitting in the trash can for 2 weeks garbage”. He talks, he doesn’t even rap. And somebody said he is too sophisticated...? Are you serious? He is too basic, way too basic. I hear all this talk about lines... Lets see some?
Big Daddy Kane “But I’m so good with the women that if I ever caught AIDS
a woman doctor’d find a cure just so she could get laid”
JDP (Philly Connextion) -
“Me and the mic go dutch, and i still hit -
Cause i’m no nice in the clutch, you’d think my style was stick”
JDP (Philly Connextion) -
“From the door i’m out the box, off the hook and hinges - And with the mic i’m non-stop like fat people on binges”
Can you please post some hot lines from lil wayne? I’m waiting.
P.S. They are trying to destroy hip hop, and anytime we select someone as ignorant sounding as Lil wayne as being great, what does that say about other rappers or the fans for that matter and the people who are what rap is all about?
lil wayne sucks major diick. he has no flo like mentioned previously and has 1 or 2 good lines in 3-5 of his mediocre at best songs. he is nothing compared to tru hip hop like pac, nas, jayz, pete rock, biggie, common, talib, a tribe called quest, on and onnnnnnnnnnnnnn lil wayne is TERRIBAD
Wow, I’ve been around since the start of this hip Hop thing back in the 70’s. I’ve seen and heard a lot of acts. Wow, I’ve heard rappers, I’ve heard poets, and then I’ve heard MC’s. I think commercially you have some great music acts, Lil Wayne being one of them - note I’m saying Lil Wayne is entertaining . Though I would never classify Wayne as a true MC, he’s just another long run of rap acts. An Emcee is on a whole different level. There were great lyricist that could verbally transcribe street syntax into understandable sentences that any well White Anglo Protestant could understand back in the day.
I remember sitting in a KRS-One concert, he shut the music off and did this freestyle, unrehearsed, accappella with a steady consistent flow - enough to make any spoken word poet shutter - the true definition of a real MC. So what is the true Definition of true MC? Does he have to be from the hood? Does he have to sell a million records when his first single or album drops? Does he have to have a wide fan base? Does he have to be black? For all of those questions above, the answer is “no”. One, Hip Hop Started in the Bronx, NY doesn’t mean you have to be from that neck of the woods to be down. Though it would be safe to say New York and hip hop has a long tradition, you have to prove yourself. MC’s, DJ, Graffiti artist, B-boys/B-girls must battle.
One couldn’t label himself a real anything unless they made their “bones”. Back in the Day most artists made their bones by going against another proven individual. This was the whole premise of Eminem’s movie - 8 Mile. He was introducing the world to Detroit’s underground Hip Hop scene. He was basically trying to validate his existence in the game. “This is where I came up, I paid my dues, and I have earned the right to be called an MC”. Though you can’t forget about AZ, NAS, Biggie, Tupac, Rakim, Snoop, Slick Rick, Kool G rap, including a list of Artist who never get played who could and still can easily destroy lil Wayne and/including many other rappers on the MIC today - if challenged. Like I’ve been saying you had to prove yourself before anyone ever called you an MC. Sure be a rapper, even Hammer dropped the MC in front of his name - just because of the heat he was getting. Don’t get me wrong the man could dance his but off but he was no MC.
After Hammer there came the other commercial acts that made big money and exploited Hip Hop culture even further till this present day. The corporate music moguls have been monopolizing from the success black artist for decades - can you say “ELVIS” - the king of Rock N Roll - say “What?” Black folk invented Rock n' Roll, its part of our culture right down to the heavy metal licks played on every electric guitar. Our music is now being exploited by us. I like all kinds of music but there has to be a good understanding of what? Is what? I’d have to see Lil Wayne go “toe to toe” with the best of them before I call him the best of anything.
I’m not a huge 50 Cent fan but I can and do appreciate the man’s swagger. He talks more trash about folk than a little but I do get his point. You got something to say, then step up and prove yourself but most people think , “oh who does the punk think he is”, 50 is really saying put up or shut up. I wish people now days could understand that, “Rap is something you do, Hip Hop is something you live”.
