Well it isn’t that hard to mess something like this up. With all the people who have had to been banned their minds eventually go through the process and overlook things that they have never had to worry about before.
Like Cody said, he just half blanked out and overlooked it. It’s an accident, things happen.
Doesn’t take much. A user with a one paragraph post and no signature doesn’t make it too hard to accidentally think it’s the one for the other user.
It’s rare for a mistake like this to happen, but odd things happen.
As long as no fingers get pointed at anything more than that, this can be sorted out without trouble anyways.
I have Pm’d Bjarne the moment that it happened and he has yet to read it.
I have apologized to Sarah and have stated in a few topics how it happened.
Basically I was deleting spam and there culprits and during the clean up, which was long and arduous, I accidentally clicked on Sarahs name instead of the real culprit. There were a great many tabs open and I was trying to work through them quickly to get the mess of spam cleaned up. Thats why I failed to notice until it was too late that I had banned the wrong person in error.
It was a mistake and that can happen when faced with so much spam and tabs open.
I regret the mistake, I feel bad about it and I hope that it gets resolved asap.
