I’m mormon, anyone here even know that religion? seriously, for those who dont know, a mormon IS a christian, and christains believe in Jesus Christ, so obviously mormons do too! Anyways, why do people hate mormons so much? I mean, it’s not like we killed someone super important to hate us forever! Plus, Joseph Smith was killed in a jail where he was arrested just because of believeing in his religion, and then this angry mob went and killed him, his brother, and 2 or 3 other guys who i dont remember the names of, but give me a break about not remembering, cause i’m like half asleep. I used to be Jewish, but I am an athiest now. Reliegeon is starting to piss me off because it is mainly ran by hypocrites, and power hungry bastards, and racists/anti semetics.
i grew up in a christian household and i was taught christian values. i left christianity. why? im not too sure myself, one reason is i hung out with the wrong crowd, didnt act like a christian, so i stopped calling myself a christian. stopped going to the meetings.
going back is much harder than leaving. i go sometimes, my dad wants me to. when im there i cant help but thinking somethings missing. isnt the true religion supposed to be fulfilling and all?
now i just call myself a theist. i still believe in the bible. i still believe that my past religion is true, or, well, closest to true. but im not a christian. its not so easy being a christian.
I’m Catholic. I don’t believe in some of the stories in the bible, and I sometimes question some other things about my religion, but I believe that as long as you follow God’s teachings you’re good to go.
THATS A GOOD QUESTION. I BELIEVE THAT THERE WAS A DIVINE CREATOR, ALIENS ARE JUST AS MUCH A POSSIBILITY AS GOD, AND HE/SHE CREATED THE UNIVERSES AND EVERYTHING WITHIN THEM AND JUST LET THEM UP TO THEIR OWN CREATION. POSSIBLY COULD HAVE STARTED FROM A SINGLE ATOM LIKE SCIENCE BELIEVES AND THEN THIS WHOLE BIG BANG THEORY, AND THIS DIVINE CRAFTSMEN/ CRAFTSWOMEN IS THE ONE WHO CREATED IT. BUT WHO CREATED THEM? MOST LIKELY THEMSELF? IS THAT REALLY POSSIBLE? MAYBE, BUT WE HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE TO UTILIZE THE FULL 100% OF OUR BRAIN POWER, WHICH I BELIEVE IS THE KEY TO UNLOCKING ALL THESE ANSWERS. BUT THAT IS HOW I FEEL.
OH, BUT I DON’T BELIEVE IN THE GOD OR GODS AS ADVERTISE IN RELIGION, THEY ARE ALL MADE UP BY MEN AS A FORM OF CONTROL FOR THE ELITES OVER THE NON-ELITES IN A GIVEN SOCIETY. THINK ABOUT IT.
have my own set of beliefs, not ones given to me. Most churches (especially Catholic churches) would disregard anything I have to say.
My beliefs are based on Christianity, but I’ve mixed in what personally makes sense to me, as well as incorporate the fact that I also accept science.
I quite enjoy science. I’m in a gifted biology class now, and I get A’s and B’s without ever picking up a textbook. In 6th grade, I got to take the test before everyone else, when we started each unit. If I passed, I was the one teaching the class.
So yeah, I like to say I’m well rounded. I firmly believe in a deity, but am also a devout student of sciences.
Athiest.. mostly because I read the bible... Buddha is not a religon, its a way of life..
