lol. honestly, a lot of why i don’t like it is because i am all about lyrics in music. i think vocals are the most important instrument, and good songs have deep meaningful lyrics. the problem is...if its all screaming, i can’t tell what those lyrics are. that, and, i like uniqueness in music. with screaming, there are only a few different pitches you can make. that makes it pretty much the same throughout the song...:/

I like it. I dont know why, I just do. Not all lyrics are completely undecipherable. Death, for example, lyrics are relatively understandable. I like clean singing, but some guys just do it so annoyingly that I want to gauge my eyes out.

heh, ya. but, there is enough so you can get good music. and, the weirder the singer the better for me. i just like weird sounds. like, at the end of this post i’ll post a song by mewithout you. you’ll probably hate it (i did when i first heard of it), but it kinda grows on you. i love how its its own unique style. and, if there is some clean singing in it and just a lot of screaming i will listen to it. its when there isn’t anymore clean singing that it just starts to give me a headache...

I know, the screaming brings people away, but the musicianship blows all other genres(excluding possible neoclassical) of metal out of the water.
Metallica and disturbed are kinda crappy, with th exception of metallicas first 4 albums.
well, i don’t listen to that much of either. i like enter sandman by metallica (an amazing song, don’t care what you say), and 1000 fists and down with the sickness by disturbed.
and, as the the musicianship, it really depends on the band. i personally think that power and speed metal have the best talent, if they are done right. bands like dragonforce...thats just amazing.

well death metal is completely the opposite of what most people really want in music it doesn’t have muc hrythm or flow..

Rockers don’t think that. Those are more than likely prep boy rockers. Rockers and metalheads overall believe we are more like induviduals than rappers. We like music that we just like, not because it is popular.
